No Jury-rigging, jerry-building, jerry-rigging about it. There are OEM Factory arms that are built to accept this plastic piece so cutting the HMMWV wiper arm to size is not doing any harm. As far as a safety item... even in snow and ice I doubt there is much pressure against this unit. Mine...

Broke in my new Milwaukee high torque impact wrench.
Rust here by the ocean is significant. This device made removal of the front bumper effortless.
Getting ready to install an electric military winch. Turning the M1025A1 into an M1026A1
The Milwaukee high torque unit is terrific. Gobs of power. Rust was no issue. Front bumper came off easily in under five minutes.
Now I gotta find the TM in installing an electric front winch. I have a unit BUT I want to see an exploded diagram.

I bought the 2767-20 with 2 batteries. I bought a Husky 64 piece impact socket set (containing Metric and SAE and deep sockets and a few sockets over 1"). I bought the biggest breaker bar I could find. I bought penetrating oil and a propane torch for stubborn nuts and bolts...
I am about to install a front winch and a rear airlift bumper on my 1987 HMMWV with some rusted bolts. Is there a decent battery impact wrench that I can purchase at Home Depot or Lowe’s that will work well.
I do not wish to bring my air compressor three stories down to my driveway.

Just ordered all the bolts washers and nuts and spacers I need from Mac Motors to install my Airlift bumper and pintle extension and ratcheting spare tire carrier.

I hope you're correct. I though my radiator was good, but I decided to swap it out. That is when I found the two tiny punctures.
I will send the old one out for a re-core, but I'm glad I changed it out.

Spring cleaning.
Found a brandy new wiper motor. Found not one but two sets of Airlift bumper installation brackets. Relocated Extra injection pump, Three military huge fairleads, Four spare halfsgafts, Pintle extension, and my brand new 24V 12 ton spare winch for the rear of the vehicle.
