Well,in short,the M543A1 will have a Mack engine,thus having NO power supply for the intank pump on the rear harness.If you got the harness for an A2 then you have the correct one for your truck FT.

Trip report, Well I drove the M54A1 down with the 105 in tow(my LAST 105 BTW) to pick up the M211 that Rob owned. The trip down (and back) was un eventful. About 500 miles round trip,avg speed of 50...
It won't lift 20 tons,it will lift 10,000 lbs with the use of the outriggers at minimum boom length(retracted). It will handle 20,000 lbs directly over the rear with the boom braces connected to the wrecker bed. If you try and lift 20 tons,you'll turn the truck over or bend the boom.

Judging by the lack of air cleaner,I would say a M51 powered by a Continental R6602 gasoline engine. Price anywhere between $0 and $6000 if it runs and drives.

BTW,If you spot one the difference in the models that can be noticed quickly are the earlier models have a body taller than the cab,spotlights on either side of the cab,and no drivers side "door" mounted...

Been working on the trans in the M211 off and on lately,finally got to spend an entire day on it with the manual.
So far here is where i'm at...
All linkages checked and adjusted properly
Governer is working and allowing Max engine speed
Checked and adjusted the front band
Did...
Does anyone have the Gage B7950168 and Tool C7950171 used to adjust the throttle valve lever on the GMC Hydramatic that I could borrow for a while? I would pay shipping to and from location,trying to get this M211 shifting properly.Thanks.
