There is no such thing as a cheap source for the correct vise, although"cheap" is a relative term. They are hard to come by. I sold a few new ones a couple months back and they went like hotcakes. I suggest you contact the big dealers as they are the people likely to have residue wreckers.
I am guessing that JWALLER, WESTFOLK, or WSUCOUGARX did not notice that I had already responded. I am going to defer to them as they obviously are more motivated sellers.
I have never been in a Goat, but I have owned two M548s (actually one was an M1015A1). These tracks both have Detroit Diesels just like a Gamma Goat even though the model of the motor is different (6V53 in the M548s). The reason I am pointing out a different vehicle is because they both have...
It looks like you got one hit on your listing. I would never have thought you would get it done for $850. That is cheap! I did not check the exact mileage, but you can usually bet on $2/loaded mile and more like $3/loaded mile with a landoll. You are better off getting a guy with a step deck...
Those were very cool videos. Thank you for sharing them. The problem with playing with big trucks is servicing big trucks. That is why I rarely take my trucks in the mud or water. Now comes the part that is even more enjoyable...the servicing! If your axles were submerged even for a second...
It will be difficult to make your truck unnoticeable. The truck looks military even if you paint it a civilian color. I suggest solid green or solid tan. Camo definitely stands out more since you don't see camo trucks every day.
Does the truck come with the stock 1100s to go back on it? I am not a big fan of the oversized tires. I was really looking for an M819, but your M816 caught my eye.
1600s are a way overkill on a 5 ton. Your power WILL suffer. If you drive on level ground ALL of the time, you should be fine. If you have ANY hills, you will notice a decrease in power. 1400s are plenty big for a 5 ton. They look meaty and you still have good power.
The factory extended height cargo covers are nice. They look a bit strange on a truck, but they are very nice to use since you can walk inside the cargo bed almost upright.
I PMed you. I have NOS troop seats and most of a set of bows, but no cargo covers that I want to part with. You can buy them directly from the manufacturer (NOT GMA), but they want almost $500 for the cover alone. I tried to get GMA to make one for me, but to no avail. They turned me on to...
NONOTAGAIN (let me say that I like your screen name!): It sounds like you have a lot of knowledge about the paint from your post. I defer to you. With that said, I know that a dealer from whom I had purchased paint previously told me they stopped because they found out a lot of civvies were...
Clinto: great point.
MAVERICK1701: I agree. There is nothing like the actual color, texture and look of real CARC. I actually seriously gave thought to using GCI until I found fresh CARC more than half way across the US. I anted up and bit the bullet for the right stuff. The problem is...guys...
CARC used to be much cheaper...and I mean like a year or so ago! The prices have gone up and, if you have it and are a civilian, people are figuring a nice profit. That paint costs in the $79/gallon range (the price varies by color). I know...I just bought 40 gallons and 20 gallons of catalyst...
