Welcome to the Outfit!
Happy to hear that you have a new-to-you "Flusey" too. Snap up some pictures and post them up for us to admire. We love pictures!
Finding your leak may be a challenge. If you have shop air or an air compressor that you can connect to the truck, it makes it quieter...

I think you will be happier over time if you make the effort to replace everything rubber under the hood. Vacuum lines, fuel lines, radiator hoses, and belts. Don't want you to create a "franken-truck". Spend a little more effort and keep it as original as you can. Of course everybody is...

Well heck... Good start to your thread and Welcome to the Outfit! Yeah, she spent some hard years out in the weather but you did rescue her. Don't forget to download the Technical Manuals for your new-to-you truck. Keep us updated with new pictures and you make progress on your truck...

So @Stezy ,
Welcome to the outfit! Looks like a lot of the guys have already chimed in and suggested their thoughts about your new-to-you truck. My opinion on the value is a lot like yours. It seems good if you got what you want and you are happy to have it. I have bought several things...

Oh wow... Now that is a real cutie! I love the bandanna in the back pocket. Just as cute as a button - and strapped into the car seat - she is ready to ride! Go Dad Go!

Any heater that you decide on will be more capable if you spend a lot of time sealing holes in the firewall and adding insulation. Most of the time, folks are trying to cut down on the noise. What you need is to stop the drafts if there are any, then add something between the steel and you...

Hi Tom,
You will get a dozen different opinions, but if you don't drive it every day you can't really go by mileage. MY OPINION is that a filter is relatively cheap. Replace it once a year. Pick a day. Do it on the same day or weekend every year. Then add the quart or two of oil, and you...

I have GOT to pull this up to the top of the list again...
Burning Politicians as fuel is a fantastic idea!
We could definitely improve the Washington DC population considerably by having fewer politicians.

Well @GutherRommel ... It seems like maybe we missed saying Welcome to the Outfit! Sorry about that. I and several others here try to make sure to offer up a welcome message - just to say hi.
As far as the P.M. it refers to "Private Message". The new term is labeled as "Start...

SEARCH is Not great at all...
That is the understatement of the year and if there was a suck award - this search engine should have the gold plated version of that award. You will get better results with any commercial search engine using this:
Plug this line into any search engine other...

Well, goofy as it is - it is that way here in the states as well for some things. Like when the US Postal Service pulls out the big book of rules to say you can't do (whatever) and occasionally we get to whip out the same book and prove them wrong. Then they get all crotchety and hard to get...

Went out there a bit ago - and when I came back - I discovered @Third From Texas 's post about removing the bumper. I did the same. Reason was that mine on my M1089 was bent all to heck and I removed and replaced the old warped thing I had. Made it even better to access.
The grille on my...
Steve (RetiredWarhorses) has so much more experience on this than me, but serials 300,000 up are REV B for sure. I don't know exactly where the REV A trucks started, but the 200,000 serials and with dates back in 2005 had the "enhancements" for heat in the big sandbox.
I just read a useful article with a comment from @Retiredwarhorses that might shed some light on your overfilled hub question... Especially if you happen to have a REV A truck. If the fluid you have smells like power steering fluid - the extra fluid could be coming from the rear differential...
