It would be nice if they'd include former MVs under the antique vehicle rules, without regard to date of manufacture.
That'd be a quick easy fix, and former MVs of any vintage have similar use profiles to antiques...
I read through the current legislation. I find it amusing that a half track...
At full inflation pressure you should have seen increased wear in the center of the tread compared to the edges. Not a big deal....
OP certainly wouldn't see any significant issues without altering the OEM rims. Having them rehooped is an empty expenditure.
I have maybe half a million miles...
What about all the HMMWVs GP sold with nonbranded titles?
What about people who move to KS with a HMMWV street titled from one of the more friendly states who want to re-register in KS?
My point, which is moot at this point, is that attracting legislator attention is as likely to get "no...
The thing about attracting the notice of legislators is that they're as likely to make things worse as they are to make things better.
Let's hope they look at KY, TN, ID, and MT when they're crafting their proposed bill, and not at VA, LA, FL, OK or MI.
I'm wondering just what KS law the...
So, looking at this 5pin plug...
The bottom smaller pin is ground. The one at 1100 is neutral, and the other three are 120v each voltage potential from neutral.
If I take a 3 wire cable and grab B C and Neutral, and wire a 50amp 240v female on one end, and a 5pin male on the other but...
There's a lot of really knowledgeable people here. Please correct any misconceptions that I may have...
it seems to me that I can take some 8/5 cable and a 5pin male plug and I can wire my 3phase air compressor to plug into that 5pin port, from where it will happily slurp 208v 3phase power...
Looks like 60 amps of 3phase 208V can be had here. My intent is to wire the male version of this onto a cable and connect to my 3phase air compressor.... comments invited.
208V vs 230v shouldn't be an issue.
The compressor will pull something like 40 amps.
14 feet of new fuel line later....
IT LIVES!
Now to learn about the electrical side of things. Ideally I'd like a way to access 50 amps of 230v single phase to power my shop welder.... I also plan to use this for its intended function - environmental control for my M129A4. And it'd be nice to...
IT LIVES!
Well, sort of. I jumped it using the HMMWV today and got it to run. It immediately began spewing fuel out of a thousand pinholes in every rubber line. So I went to NAPA and bought 16' of line. Tomorrow begins fuel line replacement.
These things are ODD! The batteries are separated...
I keep forgetting my insurance card and registration since there was no good place to keep them in the truck.
Now there is. I bolted in an ammo can to serve as a center console. I used existing holes so no harm was done to the hmmwv.
