I just replaced my relay because it kept sticking on. If this happens to anyone sharply hit the bottom of the dash above the diagnostic connection. The relay resides there and every time mine stuck I immediately hit that area and the relay let go and stopped the flow to the starter. I figured...
That is a white red light. I have seen Paul's work first hand and he really takes his time to get things looking good. I have not seen the deuce after the finish paint but his award winning cucv is tops.
The size group that matches the 4HN and 2HN batteries is a group 51 battery. If you have space for two batteries then the 51 battery will work. If not then the 24 volt 4HN is available on Ebay. It is shipped dry so you have to buy acid locally to fill it.
I got one from Columbus. I figure the difference in gas money to go get them means I can spend more for one closer. I did see that some of the trailers at Chambersburg did go for under $100.
I still have my Air Assault manual which tells how to rig what. This is kind of what I did in the 101st. There was a rig called a yohee device and with it we attached two humvees (not armored) back to back to it. The whole rig was then air mobile by a chinook. If I remember right this was also...
Our howitzers put the chinook to the limit and they were 15,500 lbs. Add a ten man combat crew and a few hundred pounds for the rounds. With high density altitude sometimes it would not haul our gun. In Desert Storm we did most of our lifting at night when it got cooler. During the day we had...
I paid about $50 plus shipping for the one I got from the yahoo group. I can't remember who the guy was. He also had some misc stuff I needed like the heat shield and choke control temp unit.
RE: Fuel gauge won
I am not sure what relay it is. None of mine are taped to anything. Do you see the mounting plate that the bolts for the diagnostic connector hold in place? This should have two bosch type basic relays and one big relay for the starter. The two other relays are for the volt...
RE: Fuel gauge won
If it was taped up something is wrong. It should be mounted on a metal mount that bolts under the driver's side dash at the bottom along with the starter relay and the alt 2 relay.
Did you make the contact through the yahoo group? I could use a spare. What is the guys contact information?
Kenny,
How much from your guy?
Thanks
Chuck
