Sound like a typical 5 ton to me. The multifuel 5 ton has a direct drive transmission when its stock. Top RPM is 2600 and you should indicate about 53 MPH. If your doing 43 at 2300, thats about right, give or take a MPH or two for the speedo being a bit off. You should be able to hit 50...
Kenny, do you put any talcum powder in the tire before putting the tube in??? Just wondering cause we do when assembling aircraft tires with tubes, helps for not getting abrasions on the rubber tube from the tube shifting inside the tire.
Nope not bad at all, she had been a depot rebuild in the late 90s and I bought her in 99 after they put diesel in her tank. (still had the 6602!!)
It has the later power steering and runs SWEET!!!
When she is ready for her trip home, I will post pic as I will have the M52A2 with the towbar...
