Yes on the D18 conversion. Volpar did many mods to the twin beech. Even removing the twin rudder tail and installing a single tail and calling it a "tradewinds".
Volpar converted C-45s into trigears and I believe Volpar sold the plans back to beech where they produced factory Beech 18s called...
Please post the pic of a tricycle gear DC-3??? Never seen one. The only non tailwheel 3's that I know of were the ones that were installed on floats for the military.............even then, they were not that many made and installed.
Most of your Civilian DC-3's had the passenger door on the right of the Aircraft as they were ordered that way. Believe both American and Eastern ordered theirs this way. Some early DC-3's also had a passenger door on the left side.
The C-47 had the double cargo door installed on the left...

Painted all the pieces to the bed today. Dad painted the wheels last week so I fired her up and took some pics. She had a miss and smoked a bit this time. Found some fowled plugs so after 6 new ones, she was back to running her normal self...............what a sweetie.

Hey larry, nobody has seen the tractor from the gathering., just the M151 at the 1st PF. She will be new to you guys. A few SS members and our MV club have seen her as I have not had her outside VT since I have owned it.

Power Service is a brand of fuel addative.............HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!! When you did yourfilters, did you fill them with any fuel addative???? The injector pump and injectors will appreciate it. You are correct on the speed, keep running that truck and burn the old fuel and...
Before you put the final filter can on, fill it with power service or ATF fluid. The injector pump will thank you.
Been packing most of the day yesterday and tinkering on some last min stuff with the trucks. Got up at 4 am, getting ready for some more before it gets HOT!!!
