Yes and No. Many owners of these trucks have stepped back to two batteries and been very happy. If you lived in Alaska, the extra cranking amps might be useful. Otherwise, two will be a good way to operate the vehicle.
By default the truck has 4 batteries. A group of 2 for 12v and a group...

Yeah! That one has what appears to be an uplink dish on it.
Lots less than the FBI Mobile Command Center that was sold for twice the money.
Snagged a picture of the link above for posterity. $48k for a 2007 T300 Model
I would say you could be camping tomorrow if it starts and runs!

Congratulations on the new tools! I know it gets cold in West Virginia, but the charging system on the LMTV will be happier and do a better job for you with two batteries. Doesn't have to be anything fancy... Higher CCA's will be better, but the two battery setup is better. On the inside...

Well yeah. That seems to be how it is. A nice warm day - no events - cold, wet, and windy and everything happens. Kinda like 2021 in the spring... We had a weekend MV show and a berzerk honey bee stung me in the corner of my eye.
I have plans this year again - and come hell or high water...

I can't help but think the corrosion in the barrel. Thicker o-ring might also be to your detriment if it is pinched when you install it. A little bit of silicon lube might be beneficial...

Interesting. Same experience getting my M37 titled and plated. DMV handed me a regular plate to use until my Antique Auto plate arrived by mail. It was the same First Class Service that I have described in other posts here on these forums.
I did recently receive a letter in the mail...

We as a group need to remember that allowing our government to "toss out" the HMMWV as unregisterable is a bad thing. State by state, tearing down the group vehicle by vehicle makes it easier to DIVIDE and CONQUER. The next thing will be those "big ugly 5-Ton trucks" or the "big scary 7-Ton...

Sad but true.
The old guys who had their A$$ bombed off by the japs in pearl harbor still carry the resentment. I wasn't old enough to be there and most of us still alive today aren't either - but there are a few who still remember...
Even stranger - and nobody has been able to show me...

The white smoke is a cold cylinder or several and like you said, when it warms up everything is as it should be. Definitely like user65 suggested, checking out the glow plugs would be a good investment with your time.

I have never seen plastic air wiper motors. Doesn't mean anything though. Air Tool Oil is the same as MMO or at least it has always been what I have used. Company that I worked for long years ago offered us gallons of MMO for the purpose... Off the top of my head, that hundred bucks doesn't...

Chances are that it will end up spitting oil on your window, but a drop (not a squirt!) in the supply side of the wiper of Marvel Mystery Oil might free it up. Nothing in there but a couple of rubber o-rings and over time they get dry. If the oil makes it start working right, It might be that...

Well then, I guess we were a little slow with your Welcome to the Outfit post or - maybe just in time - since your truck finally found you  Definitely snap up some more pictures and that will show you where you were when you started your build...
There is a thread in the PAINT and...

There needs to be some other "like" to apply to things like what you said cucvrus .
A simple thumbs up saying I agree just doesn't give that story justice...
There are definitely things in this old world that require education through time and experience.
Knowing where to hit and how hard is...

Hi gslader,
Welcome to the Outfit! From all the way across the country here in North Carolina - an official welcome. It looks like you are ready to roll. Guessing maybe you drove it home? Seems like I remember your post about driving 500 miles to get it there...
Maybe you want to create...
