Oil filter cans that retain oil?

I would if my woman hadn't brought the flu home from work.

I would like to see that as well.

Oil filter cans that retain oil?

So in order to not make it a waste of time I will need to shim all of these bypass valves along with the regulator. Otherwise I'll see no difference.

should i put a Detroit locker in the front end?

A front locker isn't the axle to cheap out on though, as it is the most susceptible to damage. An air locker and locking hubs is the only way to lock one of these front ends properly. That's just all there is to it.

Semi-catastrophic Rockwell Failure ? Anyone ever seen this?

Agreed. Buy a case of brake parts cleaner and go to town. A bundle of red shop rags and a piece of pipe or old broom handle work well for cleaning out the tubes too. I advise against using degreaser and water for this. Some of the alkali will stay behind and cause corrosion later on if you do.

New Lower Radiator Hose- Which End Is on Engine?

It is still easier with the alternator off. Getting the alt on and off is still a big pain in the a$$ though.

Oil filter cans that retain oil?

Yeah that's right. We just discussed that too... So what's the deal then? Going over 65 psi isn't going to blow out a cam bearing or something. It might damage an oil squirter, but I doubt that too.

Semi-catastrophic Rockwell Failure ? Anyone ever seen this?

It is easy if you have the equipment.

    Hattiesburg meet and greet

You... attempted.... to stay? Did the roaches pick you up and throw you out or what?

    Hattiesburg meet and greet

It is. You get a lot more exposure here than at the bottom of the home page.

Semi-catastrophic Rockwell Failure ? Anyone ever seen this?

Third member. And it is all one assembly. The whole top housing will come out with all of the gears and guts in one shot. It is self contained. These axles are simple, you have the main housing, third member, and axle shafts, that's it! No more to it. The Goldmember reference was a bad pun.

    Strange Popping Noise Under Load

If not the locker, then it could be some worn teeth or bad dogs in the transmission, worn/ stretched jackshaft splines, worn teeth in the transfer case, transfer case air solenoid tryin to partially engage the front drive but failing to go all the way in or out.... Really there is no way for any...

Semi-catastrophic Rockwell Failure ? Anyone ever seen this?

The toploader is one assembly. Pull the shafts, unbolt the toploader assembly, lift it out, drop in the used replacement, reinstall axle shafts, be on your way. Doesn't matter how damaged the old one is because you are not reusing any of it. What we are calling the toploader assembly here is...

New Lower Radiator Hose- Which End Is on Engine?

You did have the alternator off didn't you?

I'm going to try and make it this time Jeff, but the holidays are hectic as you know.

New Lower Radiator Hose- Which End Is on Engine?

You can put the old spring in the new hose if it isn't too badly corroded. That's what I did. If you try to put the hose on you'll see it only fits one way without being painfully obviously wrong.

Oil filter cans that retain oil?

I'm betting that 65 psi number is to keep from blowing filter canister gaskets and maybe the oil cooler o-rings. My truck gets up to 60 psi hot running down the road, but only 30 at hot idle. I suppose higher pressures could blow the injector pump oil supply line too, but I think they are...

    Old style head gaskets

It would also be worth getting a set of solid copper headgaskets made. Welldigger and I talked about it a while back. They would be expensive, but reusable and very hard to blow. Of course either shellac compound or copper spray gasket would have to be used to ensure a proper lasting seal. There...
