Oil filter cans that retain oil?

So there is no negative effect per se? It isnt going to cause undue stress on anything that I'm not thinking about right?

    Old style head gaskets

I agree 100%. I use the copper spray gasket adhesive on all headgaskets and some other flat gaskets as well. Never had a problem after using the copper "spray a gasket". I believe that is what they call it. I don't have a can handy.

    S280 Questions

You are lucky you have all your hinges. I got a shelter yesterday that is missing two hinges. I can't complain though, the shelter was free.:shrugs:

    S280 Questions

You can do the same with penetrating oil. Heat it and spray the oil on it until it cools and it'll draw the oil in. Don't breathe the smoke, it is some bad stuff. Be careful not to melt the surrounding aluminum.

    Spin-on Fuel Filters

Floridianson, what is that 2 micron final filter number you keep posting up? I can never seem to find it when I need it. It should be added to the deuce parts reference guide.

Oil filter cans that retain oil?

So is there any good reason not to fiddle with the oil pressure regulator to get my hot pressure up higher? Mine isn't really that low, still 30 pounds at hot idle, but I like more. It makes me feel better.

    Old style head gaskets

One has a flat tab that sticks straight out, one has a tab that sticks down and hugs the block. The block hugger is an earlier version.

should i put a Detroit locker in the front end?

A front locker has always done more for me than any rear locker.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Gimp, is the motor in your M62 a White, or Continental?

Oil filter cans that retain oil?

Gimp, the thread you are thinking about started off with a member detailing a rod failure in his truck on his way to work. I remember he slung the rod, pulled over and shut it down, cranked it back up and drove it to a Parkin lot and then towed it home. The truck was tan. Don't know if any of...

Oil filter cans that retain oil?

This is what I have gathered in all my reading here as well.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

"Terminator" Also, Jason, I have read of at least a few broken cranks on here. They aren't always threads about that, but are mentioned by members in other threads.

Oil filter cans that retain oil?

I just wonder if they started being left out because they were causing problems of some sort. Maybe sticking closed and not allowing oil flow through when it should?

Movie Vehicle Rental - Central Texas

I have a few trucks. Have a deuce they could blow up, but no jeeps or humvees. They could use my deuce for the shoot as well. Pm me some specifics, I am interested.

I'm still finding piles of glass everywhere in my yard where Michael touched the brakes.

    Brake issues....

Yeah you guys both still have air in there somewhere. As Welldigger said, bench bleeding will do nothing to help you. You bleed at the airpack first, then right rear wheel, left rear wheel, right middle wheel, left middle wheel, driver front wheel, passenger front wheel. It also helps to use the...

CTIS Auto tire inflation system questions

Four flashing lights means you have a tire so low that it needs to start in the runflat setting, or you have a leak in the ctis system, probably either at a wheel valve or a hub seal. The soft air lines between the wheel valve and the valve stem likes to leak and fail as well. Four lights is...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

But these motors weren't exactly designed with longevity in mind either in this application. And a subpar alloy does make sense as to why so many broken cranks would come up.
