Pinion gear on starter won't disengage from ring/flywheel

If that were the case, the starter would engage if you turn the key to ON with the engine not running. Sounds like it's time for a reman starter.

    Voltage Issue With Head Lights

So you advocate spending your money with Shenzhen Unishine Optoelectronics Co LTD as opposed to Truck-lite or JW Speaker who's designs they ripped off.

    Deuce wheel identification help?

Looks to me like 5 ton combat wheels that have been modified with 6 hole centers. Check the welds carefully before using anything home made.

AM General to make JLTV'S now

Now Oshkosh knows what Stewart and Stevenson felt like when they ripped away the FMTV contract.

    SECM Manual HMMWV

I do. Subscribed. Mine has a huge inverter and rotary air compressor in it.

HMMWV Role Identification - CTIS Model

It had the large shelter in it that overhangs the rear bumper.

'97 M1097a2 4L80e is bad. Need advice - DIY rebuild or junkyard swap?

Anything from a junk yard will most likely need a rebuild as well. Automatic transmission overhauls are not for inexperienced mechanics. Suggest you pull yours and shop around for what the rebuilding industry calls “bench jobs”.

What truck would this fit on

Looks like the big 400 amp. Fits HMMWV, MRAPs, maybe JLTV

    Gauge wiring.

Sometimes the ammeter was replaced with a voltmeter since the ammeter was phased out early on and the voltmeter remained throughout the truck’s service life. If this was done, one of the ammeter wires was used to feed the voltmeter and the other cut off and taped up. If your mystery wire ends...

    M60A1 Tank - paint removal

Maybe pressure wash the crap out of it and spot prime any bare areas, and top coat with Pro Industrial water based acrylic from Sherwin Williams.

    Voltage Issue With Head Lights

Make sure the wire tag number on the engine compartment side of the light fixture matches the wire number on the headlight bulb.

    M37 block

If I was considering a non permanent repair, I would notch out the crack a little and fill it with JB Weld.

Help ID'ing this 5 ton wrecker

So true, can you imagine the expense to fix this truck? All new hyd hoses, all new brakes, all new electrical, engine overhaul or replaced, tires, paint, seals, dogbones, etc etc

    CUCV II Clone/New here

Looking real good. I'm in the CUCVII clone club too with a 2000 former AT&T 4x4 3500 with 6.5. Porkchop has or had the impossible to find grille guard, ask him about it . . .

    Bed Frame

That is for mounting a S250 shelter. If your truck is from the 1980's, it would be a M1037 shelter carrier without winch or a M1042 with.

HMMWV Alignment Question - well maybe.

If your tires are wearing properly I would not align anything. It’s an all day ordeal to adjust the alignment shims at all 4 corners.

    M936A2 wrecker

Looking very very good, someone did what appears to be an excellent paint job on it.

    M936A2 Wrecker crane noise

I think air entrainment. This happens when a seal or hose allows air into the system, and the volume of fluid expands because it is full of microscopic bubbles.
