Talked with the owner of the D-Day park to day and set the date for the 15-17 of May thats the 3rd weekend. I'll post links to the park and maps later.
So how many are going to be there?
The XLWB Deuce also has a frame dubbler on it. It is a "L" riveted to the frame. Seems like a bad idea to me. Its open at the top but closed at the bottom and makes for a good(bad) place for water to collect.
Right now he has it list on the D-Day web sit as the 24-26 of april but thats the ARMVPA's Red Ball Convoy. I for one plan to go to that. It looks like may is open for any weekend. We need to come up with some thing so I can let him know SOON.
The military used alot of filter some are claenable most are not. The cleanable ones are like string or some I think are like hard pores chreamic or some thing (I could be way off on that thought) Most are just a pletaed paper type some have a metal outer case some don't it depens on the brand...
The 2009 ARMVPA Red Ballin' Convoy is set for the 25th of April. Last year there was about 30 MV's. The convoy is set too be about 100 miles long with a lot of stops and was a ton of fun last year. Here is a copy of the e-mail I got.
Greetings all!
Things are starting to finalize so I’m...
I just got an E-mail from the owner of the D-Day park. He's wanting to know if/when we want to have the rally.
The big ?? is are/do we want it there or what???
Need to know some thing soon so I can let him know.
All you need to do is get the rim up off the ground 2-3" so the trie can flex down far enought then the ring will go on fine. Done a bunch of them that way.
Rapco partrs in TX has it. (940)872-2403 The "383" is a code or some thing for the CARC paint not the color. That green is 34094 and the brown is 30051 they call it 383 brown or green C.A.R.C. substitute.
and his web site is www.rapcoparts.com
The hook and ring have sizes based on cap. just like ball hitches. If you have a trailer with a 2" coupler and a truck with a 2 5/16" ball would you grind down the ball????? Or get the right ball or coupler???
