A hearty welcome to all Tower Park attendees. Tower Park / Camp Delta is the largest military vehicle meet west of the Mississippi if not in the entire United States and sets the trends for other meets around the country. Interest in the hobby is growing in popularity and it’s groups like...
The Military Vehicle Collectors of California is holding the first of our 2 annual meets from April 20 thru the 27th. This is the place on the west coast to find people, parts, and information about military vehicles! Our busiest days are Wednesday thru Saturday so if your planning a day trip...
I ran HMMWV 37" HMMWV wheels and tires on my A2 for several years and all I did was put a 1/4" spacer plate behind them. Never had any issues with the tires rubbing the wheelwells even when fully loaded. The nice thing about the HMMWV wheels and tires is they're plentiful and cheap.

Go back online and do some research before you go mounting them on your vehicles. The Solargizers are NOT battery chargers, they are battery maintainers. If you want to charge your batteries you want solar panels with charge controllers.

These are the signal and power distribution boxes for the GRC-206 radio system. If you aren't interested in them I would like to get them for my radio. Please PM if you're willing to let them go.
Thanks,

CSM,
See the last line above....................
As for a CP if you look around there's a ground tripod that will hold either the MX-6707 or the AS-3900. There's a ground counterpoise antenna that will hold it in an elevated position. If you plan to leave it as a fixed antenna I'd...
OK, Here goes. Nomenclature. Just the other day I was talking about confusing nomenclature and military radios. Here's a perfect example of the confusion it causes. Jeff above is asking about antennas and because of the way they are described he's confused and it's no wonder.
The...
123mack, Any of the antennas designated for the 30-75 tactical FM band will work on these radios. These include the AT-1729, the AS-3900, and the one I use, the Harris SF-3512. There are several other less common antennas but these are the three most seen in our world. Of the three only the...
The Trimble SLGR (PSN-10) was used with the VRC-83s to provide 1 PPS Have Quick timing signals. This is the unit I always liked in my HMMWV because of the way it looks. I've got a PSN-11 and don't like it at all. Difficult to read and not very user friendly. The DAGRs are much nicer. The...
There's a mention of a vehicle mount for the Tri radios, does anyone know of a link directly to their website to find out if they have one?
Thanks

As soon as I can find amount for the 117F it'll be installed in my HMMWV. I think the mounts for the PRC-138 and 150 might work but can't fine any of them either. I do have a 117D in it's vehicle mount but it's too deep to put on the HMMWV radio shelf. If you ever see a mount for the 117F I'm...
I've taken these cables apart on several occasions and the contacts can be reseated using the proper insertion tools. I have them if you'd like to borrow them to repair your cable. Drop me a PM with a mailing address.

Some tips on terminology:
Voltage conversion is a term used when voltages are changed from one level to another whether it's AC or DC. AC voltage conversion is done with transformers that either step up or step down the voltage. DC voltages are changes using either regulators or voltage...
I picked up one of the 100 amp Vanner battery equalizers at a flea market here for $20 that works just fine. They were used in city busses all over the country so if you know anyone who scraps out old busses there's a good chance they'll have the vanner units. The nicest thing about them is...
Go over to Sears and buy one of their inexpensive clamp on current meters. Measure the current draw from the batteries with the engine off and start disconnecting things until the current draw drops to 0. Once you know which channel is drawing the batteries down you should be able to figure out...
Guys, Running 10-30 volt LED lamps is the best way to go. That way there's never an issue about which bulbs are in the taillamp housings and you'll be able to draw the trailer with either a military or a civvy vehicle. Make life easy on yourself!
