I have had a discussion on the siren with a long time M37 surplus seller and has had many dodges. I am installing a siren on our EOD m-37 and I wanted it to be accurate. What he has seen in some ambulances with sirens installed, they had a electric starter switch on the passenger side floor...
They make off shore ones now. With my M37, I got a TON of take off wheel cylinders that I can rebuild, if they dont spec out I will have them sleeved some day.
I am glad I did this because I did brake down and bought two off shore wheel cylinders for my M151 and the bleeder screw is not...
On another note about my M62..............The truck is a 53 diamond T, it was depot rebuild in 1998 as the suspension had been completely redone, airpack and master, and the engine looks pretty dam new!!!! It was finally surplused in 99 when someone put diesel in the tank instead of MOGAS...

Yes on the steel composition and I believe they knew it because the B1 came undercoated from the factory to where the 50's trucks were not.
Also boys, you cant ALWAYS go by the spare on the door. It was a MWO and could be field modified. My 1951 M37 had the spare moved to the door...
Great pics but let me say. The Lava Lamp and tie die poster would NEVER be found at a COMMAND POST.........THE CO WOULD NEVER STAND FOR IT!!!! Need to find some nice pro army posters or some learning or gun cleaning posters.
