Hey Larry,
I believe I am right on this but I will work on it to confirm. What I do know is that the ENDT-673 was put in the trucks before VN ever really picked up. Hense how Jack brought over Mack powered M52A1's in 1966 with the 64th Trans.
The ENDT-673 was also a over the road Civie engine...
I was just reading this and then thinking about a pic I have seen and then low and behold, larry posted it :) Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy with anticipation!!
Thanks for the help for finding a 6453 but I need one in the North East, but if ya do, tell me anyways.
I have a M52A2 and a M54A2, both direct drive.
1st answer at 2200 you should be about 40-42 mph, at 25 to 26 you will be at 50. I usually run at 45 but have seen 50 at time and I try to pay attention not to burry the throttle there.
The 6352 is 1 to 1...........Direct Drive
I dont know what...
Its the same book that Kenny posted above that you have scanned already. I dont know how the **** I had missed that before on SS but I have my own copy now and went nuts that it had a part Numbers via the Austin-Western numbers that are still current!!
Back to the search for dataplates.
39 now............bought my 1st MV at 25...............dam I need to finnish my M37. I have had it apart WAY to long. Dam big trucks keep gettin in the way.......but you gotta love em.
Nope, guess I did not see it. Sorry but I have seen a few comments on here and I hoped that they were not serious but turned out that they were. Glad yours is not one of them.[thumbzup]
Thats all fine but it does not need to be a daily check. I usually check mine twice a year. In the spring when I am ready to drive it out and mid summer. At that same interval I also check the axle vents. This was brought up on another thread and is very important maint item.
No I am not...
Its people like this that are going to ruin it for MV owners that operate their trucks with the safety of others in mind. Glad my family does not live in KY, but I have friends that do!!!!
ROFL!!!!!!!
Many years ago, I had seen a M37 at a service station getting tires installed. I did not stop and find out whos truck it was but it was in great shape. Well about a week later I was over at my friends house who sells M37 parts and I told him about what I had seen and asked...
Dont repower it, there is nothing wrong with the 6602. Yes the fuel milage sucks but if you want your money back out of it. Buy it, paint it 24087 and some collector may pick it up for what it is. Putting the cummings in it, you might as well put a dump bed on it and sell it to some...
You buy it?????
Kinda sad in 2 ways. They used and hacked up a CCKW bed and then modified the bren gun carrier. I guess its still neat and if I had 50+ acres to maintain, I probably would have jumped on it.
