    New Texan here. M447 mounted on a M923 ?

Your existing bed is 14' (unless its an ISO bed) and the M447C is 17'. You could mitigate some of that overhang by moving the spare.

    Hello from Fort Walton Fl.

Welcome from south of the equator.

    New Texan here. M447 mounted on a M923 ?

The difference in length is 3'. The 447 box is rubust so you shouldn't have an issue with 3 feet of overhang. All that weight aft the axle might make steering a little squirrelly.

m35a2c What does the "C" mean?

The book is getting closer. What was going to be a few hundred pages is now in the thousands. I've long retired from deuce collecting but this book I will buy. Research has been ongoing since the last century.

m35a2c What does the "C" mean?

FWIW, there is no documentation that has been presented here yet that any turbos were designated a "C" or "D". There were the LDT-465-1C and LDT-465-1D engines. The " C". Was an earlier design. In the same realms, the Schweitzer 3LG319 turbo (whistler) was the first design and was probably...

    Bought a CUCV M1010 !

Yeah, certainly not a 60F. I'd have a word with that joker.

My Deuce going to a new home.

Wow, oddball has always been in your stable. That's an "oh my" moment.

    New Texan here. M447 mounted on a M923 ?

I need to amend my statement as it is incorrect. The M934 uses the same body as the M313. The M447C has the open sides with either curtains or aluminum panels to enclose it.

    New Texan here. M447 mounted on a M923 ?

The M934 is the end result of what you seek sans frame stretching.

    Welcome aboard Sir.

    M1008 - anti theft switch?

I would rather not disclose what I have done to each of my trucks but it does involve the starter relay. Can folks with a key cycle my glow plugs? Sure but that's OK in the grand scheme of things. Around here in swamp buggy land, I know of a half dozen CUCVs that were stolen and later recovered...

5 ton Bobsled, Recovery assistance near Berkeley Springs WV

If it didn't have all that CTIS stuff, one might try bolting a PR of standard dually rims to each front wheel and create wheel winches if a suitable anchor can be located or created.

    Slave start socket.

There are holes in the floor of the cab or at least punch outs. Best to run rubber grommets to prevent chaving the cable.

    Please Help Confirm Fuel Tank

How many gallons do those hold? Looks like a great 2nd tank for my golf cart.

    winch installs

I got mine from Ken and Andy at the 2014 GA Rally. I did work out a swap.....for dead presidents.

    Ultimate 5 ton tractor

If that is too much overdrive, consider a 6352 with 1:1 final drive.

    winch installs

I hope mine holds up to the bone crushing weight of my CUCV!

    New somewhat stock looking tires.

I've heard that before John. I actually ran a pair on the front of an old K30 and they just didn't last. The E rated Toyos wear like iron but have a nice price tag to go with them. Choices in the 255 size is very limited.

    M1008 6" lift

Nothing wrong with rear blocks as long as you're aware of their limitations. In this days before shackle flips were the norm, we ran a traction bar on top of the leaf pack to the front of the spring. Really helped axle wrap if the mount on the spring was tall enough. Ride characteristics weren't...

    m1031 transmission swap ??

The 700 could be an alternative for the Oh-9 too. Not for the overdrive but for the 3.06 first gear. Would sure help get it moving.
