Lots. I should have proof read my other post more. Sorry about all the wrong words. I guess I am not as good at typing one thing and talking to a student about something else as I thought I was.
You have a "rats next in a box" coming to you via the USPS. The post office lady said "you really want to mail all those dirty wires and stuff to somebody? Do they know what they are getting?" I had to ask for a box and pack it there is why she all the stuff. I assured her the person getting...
There are a lot of threads where people mention putting a K&N in their CUCV. Most also claim a mpg increase. My question is this. Do you leave the foam "pre filter" with the K&N or just go only K&N?
It seems to defeat the purpose of a better flowing element to just put the restrictive...
Measure from front to rear tire on each side and see how much difference there really is.
Did the alignment shop have a Hunter camera aligner? That machine will print out how much the axle is pointing in which direction. I would get that before you go trying to bend the frame.
Napolion, where you runing your a/c this entire time the light was glowing? Don't forget that the heater fan gets its power from the fuse that excites the #1 alternator. That light will light up partially if the headlights are on and the heater fan is on high.
I suggest taking the alternator...
Those flex fans have been known to throw a blade. Hopefully, you won't be standing over the running engine to catch the blade in your chest or neck.
The "proper" set up is a clutch, fan and a fan shroud. All parts found new or used very easily.
Nothing will be harmed except your fuel mileage and the extra noise at idle. What kind of mpg are you getting at those speeds. Mine goes from 20 mpg at 62 mph to 16 mpg at 70-75 is why I ask.
Yeah, those little plastic plugs are what makes the alternator work. Get new ones for maybe $5.00 a set.
The glow plugs stock were 12 volts. So other vehicles could slave start your dead truck, both batteries feed the glow plug system. The big "plate" on the firewall is actually a resistor...
If your glow plugs work, then your resistor has been bypassed. Don't worry about it right now since it has nothing to do with the ALT 2 light.
You wrote that you have searched. Did you download the manuals and look through the huge troubleshooting section of the -20 manual? That should be...
I have gotten into the habit of trying to tighten those two nuts down more every time I open the hood. Just because the noise they make when loose is just not right.
You really need to let the bug bite you. It will be like driving the M715, but for half the cost, more speed, less interior heat and you will sit in seats you actually want to sit in for more than about 10 seconds. Being able to walk into an auto parts store and ask for a part by announcing...
Verify your odomter with gps or interstate mile markers. Do as long of a run as possible to find out exactly what percentage you are off. My speedo with the BFG 33x12.40 is off 12 percent, but the odometer is only off 6 percent.
Town driving can really kill your mpg's no matter how careful...
