    There are many many places to have your injection pump rebuilt, the place I use is Home (dieselpumphouston.com) You send it there and they send it back ready to go. The fuel pump (lift pump) can come from anywhere.

    That’s a good question. Since oil changes on these is like a $300 deal, I tend to stretch the intervals since the oil always looks amber on my lightly used 400’s. If you operate in dusty environments, keep with the lube order.

    Agree with Hammer, that lube order info is dated. I run Delo 400 SDE 15W-40. Takes like 2 buckets and 2 more gallons.

    If you run the 7155 it makes sense to have a spare shifter for each truck. One day soon the supply will be exhausted and then finding one if needed will suck.

    The 8 on the rear can be ho hum but your steer tires need to be exceptional. The military tires are special OZ rubber that can last decades, as opposed to the commercial tires uncle started using recently. Well not exactly recently, 20 years ago.

    That Deuce M109 shop van box is ridiculous heavy, at least 2 tons. The aluminum shelter is how to go. Lots of people (myself included) have 280s lying around for camper projects that never materialized.

    This is not unusual, Ky is following the USDOT laws. TXDOT told me the same thing 15 years ago, I have kept up my CDL ever since. Medical card, drug testing etc just to drive my old army trucks. I see it as a back up career, if everything else fails, I can drive a garbage truck tomorrow.

    You need to find TM10-1423. Nothing special about the front brakes, they adjust with cams on top and eccentric studs on the bottom.

    Transmission Module won't light up, preventing normal engine start.

    Check all the connections between the display and the WTEC. Check breakers feeding the WTEC. Check connections plugged into WTEC. If everything checks out, send your WTEC for diagnostics to Transmissioninstruments.com. Yes the WTEC must be alive to allow engine cranking.
