    Charlie's Deuce Thread

. Long years ago, there was a guy in our truck shop (Ed) that would spend HOURS reworking the window regulators and tracks on Deuces and 5-Tons. There are some small "clips" that hold the glass frame to the window regulator. Some sort of spring steel... Before you try to go any further, you...

    MTVR cab fenders

. Yes Sir. Popular for things like the outrigger pads or the remote controls for the M-1089. Every now and again something falls out of the pipeline, but the vendor that manufacturer used to build the cranes mostly ignore us. Definitely a good term though! :)

. Well geesh... Seems that nobody noticed that you had joined up on Friday. Welcome to The Outfit! Have you got a particular vehicle in mind? Already have one? Got plans to look around for one? Yeah, I know. Lots of questions. Lots of really good folks here if you have questions.

    Hello from southern Missouri

. I see the Chevrolet badge on the cab. Those rear axles look for all in the world like what was in the International 6x6. Even with a pillar block beside the hogshead like the IH... Anything on the motor that gives you any other clues?

    Electric M37

. I happened to be sitting in traffic and noticed the "T" logo on the back of a vehicle. Nothing special about it whatsoever, but as I sat there waiting I spotted words on the right rear DUAL MOTOR. Picture (below) Guessing that is "special"?

    Found major issue…trans

. If you haven't found a used one already - maybe try a phone call to White Owl in Kinston NC. Those guys are pretty sharp and willing to talk. If you explain your situation, they might have a replacement or a box of parts that might get you where you want to be.

What have you done to your JEEP today

. Not a lot seems possible without somebody about 50 years old - and some simple logic. Seems that those who think they are mechanics have to be able to have some sort plug in port. Young'uns today have NO diagnostic ability if the computer can't show them the problem. Long before that was...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

. Do you suppose that the "adjustment" to the turbo was a DE-MIL thing? Sure seems like a lot of effort when a small block of C4 would have solved it with less effort.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

. Winder if while you are already doing - if replacement hoses might be a good investment. If what you have isn't new, the hoses might just be stuck to the radiator. Have had to slit them the long way to peel them off there in days gone by. :-(

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

. Happiness is DRIVING your new-to-you truck off the trailer for sure! Congratulations. Need to create yourself a thread in the LMTV section that will tell the story about what you plan to do. Snapping all kinds of pictures and uploading them will be a good way to start. AND, later when it...

    Hello from southern Missouri

. Hi Karl, Welcome to the Outfit! There is definitely a lot of "home built" additions on the old truck, but it sure looks military. Or at least the cab and axles sure seem to be. The cab looks like it could be an international harvester, but that would have a BIG in-line six under the hood...

    CHUCKY'S TREE HOUSE !

. Ouch! Dang that looks like it might have been a pretty good hit too... Sheet Metal though can be fixed. Hopefully you came out alright.

    GOVPLANET/USMC latest EUC times?

. Sad to say - but you know that of course they would say business days for sure now! Hate it for you. Especially for a piece of paper and a quick lookup about you. I sometimes think they do it that way intentionally.

Bringing back to life a 2009 HMMWV M1165A1 from GovPlanet - total newbie, please help...

If you don't want to drag out an extension cord, really HOT water in a cup or similar will do the same thing to soften the plastic line...

    GOVPLANET/USMC latest EUC times?

. I wouldn't count on it before next year... Speed isn't their "thing". I have seen quite a few at 90 days recently. Holidays are coming. National Goof-Off Month Started late in November and it runs through The first week or two in January. I know you don't want to hear it, but at least...
