As some of you know I'm "collector" of equipment for my fire dept thru FEPP (direct from DOD). I notice a big ole pile of dueces coming. Not that many reused at present so many will be showing up as govliq listing in July/Aug.
Right now there are 114ea M35A2 w/wo winch and 2x M36A2 wo winch...
You talking an old (as in a NATO surplus) Unimog or a new unit. Occasionally US Army surplus SEEs show up but still in use by Sam. Great very capable trucks.
If looking for new, US Unimog dealers are thru Freightliner Truck dealers. Only a few dealers. Make sure you're sitting down before...
Not sure if I'll be down there in the next couple of weeks. I'll email Bob at DRMO Rock Island for info. He's supposed to be finding me some slave cables. Rock Island is usually pretty accurate on condition ratings (unlike many/most of the DRMO).
Hey I know Steele. He was scout plt leader when I was a TOW Co Cdr in 1-133 Inf (AASLT). Before that was a plt leader for Division LRP. Pretty sqaured away troop. I'd bet on being a no BS hardass on the civ job. But the military angle might buy a bit of slack.
A mil converter dolly any particular dimensional difference than a civilian dolly? Dimensions look to be similar (77" wb). Or is the kingpin on a civilian pup trailer closer to front of the trailer than on a regular semi trailer?
You supposed he's keeping at the TM max speed of 30mph?

If your need is for fire dept use. You don't need to purchase. You can get thru your state forester as a perm loan. I'll find you search link for TPU and TPU pods listed at DRMS and post for you. You'll find 24v and gas powered filter/pump units fairly regularily. If you want to spend $...
M19 GMC in pictures (not M42 Duster)
You're correct. I didn't recall the turret on a Duster being set that far back. M19 was a rather rare beast. Your point.
It might. Any chance you would have room to haul them back home (which I assume is VA)? I have a 6x6 to pickup at the St Juliens DRMO/Portsmouth.
Hopefully I can come up with a local pickup from the Jacksonville DRMO.
M42 Duster. Self Propeller Anti Aircraft And in Vietnam widely used to blow the snot out of the godless commie hordes.

Last of them finally retire from the National Guard in the 90s. Supposedly a very well regarded vehicle that...
I have 6x small diesel centrifugal pumps at DRMO Jacksonville, FL. Anyone in the area that might be willing to pickup? The Iowa Motor Truck Assoc was supposed to pick up 2 week ago and has not happened. DOD is in a lather and going to have kittens (take the pumps away) if don't get them moved...
DOD is getting their shorts in a knot so I'm having Colonial Ford Trucks pickup and TI the truck. Don't know them from adam but the nearest Ford Truck dealer.
Milspec Parker Aviation Electric Fuel Pump
If anyone is interested, my Fire Dept has some Milspec Parker Aviation Electric Fuel Pump. These came with some surplus Army equipment we received from DOD for our fire dept. We have no need so selling to someone that can use them. VERY nice Milspec...
