M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

Your posts need a chapter count! I love how you have your "minions" (the students, that is) to serve as needed. That's great.[thumbzup]

Great story, McDuff (sorry to digress here, The King Machine, but you're a champ for being patient with us chatter boxes "on the porch", here)! That combination is called a Drilling isn't it? And it's actually the other way around, two shotgun barrels side-by-side over a rifle barrel. I only...

You just need to go vertical some, mkcoen; getting stuff off the deck. Then you'll be all good to go! There's all kinds of head-room in there. Maybe some kind of shelving system?

    Operation Mighty Mite Miracle

That "cup" housing is made of some solid-looking heavy gauge metal. Not everything from the old days is worth missing really, but that level of quality sure is.

Oh, yeah; Griz is something to take seriously I'm told. I got an old hockey buddy who moved out to Alaska decades back, and he's been guiding wilderness trips there for over 30 years. He's pretty good I hear: http://www.wildernessalaska.com/ He told me once, how Griz if they get your scent...

Ever hear of this thing here, mkcoen? I don't know how useful it truly is (somebody else here might know better), but the concept sounds good: www.prioritystart.com

I was sort of figuring that. After you pull up to camp in that rig of yours I'd be kind surprised if any wildlife in the area hadn't already sprinted a mile off anyhow and was STILL running! :naner:
