Is that on an A2? I drain the fuel filters on my 925A2 at every oil change, and it runs super strong afterward. I've been meaning to post about this, but haven't yet. There is suction within both of my filters every time I open the drains, not sure if that is normal or not. It seems that...
I may wait for yours. What kind of lamping or power rating are you considering on both? For example, 100w x 6 (H4), and LED of 98 3W X 2 rows? I'm just making this up, but truly wondering the intended lighting plan. Earlier than November would be fabulous, like now. You were right on the...
Could be the trans pump front seal, or the torque converter also. Old style torque converters had a drain plug, I have no idea if the Allison trans has that. Either way, it doesn't really matter, because you are going to have to split the engine/trans junction to find out and fix it.
Sounds like voltage regulator is bad or going bad. They are available separately. Electronics typically start to flake out when hot before total failure. Also, I notice my voltage gauge goes high if I accidentally shut the battery switch off before the engine on my 925A2. Not sure if this is...
You're fine. The horn on my 925A2 recently did the same. WildChild467 took it upon himself to dig into it for me, and he found there is a diode just under the horn, I believe on the ground side, and this was weak/bad. By simply disconnecting, it resolved the issue. But, thinking it is a...
Yes, read the previous 345 posts. Your common issue and its resolution is discussed. Reverse feels faster because it is a 10:1 ratio, vs about half of that in first gear. 2000-2200rpm is the governor limit on engine speed, the accelerator pedal is simply a request input, the governor is the...
Kind of like all the rounded edges on the 1/2 pound of metal shavings that came out of your pan when we drained your LDT's oil?
F O dude! At least I know the difference between fine and course threads.
Yes, I did pull all the wires off the pole with my 925A2 getting excited to drive my...
I ordered the Vestil WTJ-4, rated for 2,000lbs. Will replace the hand winch with a powered one, and may possibly shorten it so the beam can sit level with the top bar of the troop seats. Then it is not sticking up 20" over them at the rear of the truck looking all goofy like. Went with the...
Truck sales are live again.
I bought my M925A2 off an individual who first bought it from GL. Sure, I paid a few grand more, but the risk was near zero, and for me that was worth it as I just wanted a single good running truck, and that is what I got. From an individual, you can actually test...
Typical high side for R134a is approximately 2 x ambient temp + 20%. Easiest if the fans are just on continuously when the A/C is on. Secondary way would be to trigger the fans on/off with the compressor clutch. Third way would be a high pressure switch trigger as mentioned above. All are...
That clicking and the 11V sounds like dead batteries. There is not even enough power being supplied to hold the solenoid engaged against its internal spring. Your load test seems OK. Was the 11V drop measured at the starter? I am guessing so from the video. Repeat the test and measure the...
Working for an OE supplier of both automotive and MD/HD starters, and overseeing a HD starter warranty return division that does 100% warranty retention and analysis may have something to do with it.
Load banks work, but the vehicle starter itself is the perfect load bank. You can't get more...
