I thought that the gasser did not have enought troqe for the over drive transmison??not saying that it would not fit just that it may not work too good.
Bjorn those must be for yet another type tow bar. I've seen the smaller one like that for the "medium" tow bar but they had the 1" pins.
Do the 5 ton wreckers use a TM of there own or is it all in one? (TM ##???)
and does any one now the TM #'s for other wreckers I want to go thought them and...
You are right about the right showing up Bjorn. I did some digging yesterday and came up with 6 different NSN's for tow bars.
I plan to keep looking and get more facts for all these and see if I can make a list/guide for tow bars some day.
The PS artice that has all the stuff for theM543 wreaker lists the 4910-735-6056 tow bar as light duty. But that tow bar is rated for 42,000lbs????????? That seems like more than light duty.
The more I see and read the more I think that the "fat" tow bar is a newer one and the sikiny is a older one???
TM9-4910-496-10 list the wight as 165lbs max cap 42,000lbs NSN 4910-735-6056
TM9-94910-593-12 list the wight as 250lbs max cap 39,000lbs NSN 4910-01-365-9304
I also found a NSN...
Well it looks like I got the shaft on my "med" tow bar. By the size of the ring that Recory4X4 listed my is not a medium like I was told. the big bar is only 2.25"OD aua
They is a PS clip in the PS section that list the PSI's for most of the trucks the duecs is 61/2-8psi

It seems that no truck take the same cap.
I would have to say that one end (big rubber end) goes to the truck and the smaller end would go some kind of clamp on towbar light that would go on the item being towed. Not so much as a trailer that any truck would be towwing. More for a damaged unit.
I can say that the 12.50R20 XL fit on the the stock rims just fine. Like they are made for them. I think if I had a 14.5 I would at lest try it.See how it looked and go from there. If anyone has done this and has pic please save me some work/money and let us know/see them.
Thank you
