I have had my M109 w/o box stuck in the back yard on a lose rocky hill with both rears pulling. Will at leaset both were spining and bounceing all 8 wheels. I think it has alot to do with no weight on them like your tractor.

A tool?? The last clutch I put in I had to use a scoket , ext and some tape. I bet it went alot easer with the right tools. :P

RE: Manual shift transfer case? The shifting is manual on all of them its just the front axle ingament that is air or sprag. They may have missunderstood what you were asking for??

So they were all under water for weeks. NOTHING on those truck were ment for that they are not submarines! The gear boxs are probly still full to the top with water. Beware of parts coming up on Ebay after these are sold. 2cents And GL has alot of neve to say "some water damage". Is not fully...

If it where me I'd be looking in side that thing be for I headed out on any kind of trip. Look in TM 9-2520-246-34 , 34-1 & 34P Those cover the tran and tranfer and are in the tm sec here good luck.
