Thanks Tinwoodsman, that's the real answer I was looking for.
I like their product and was hoping they weren't going out of business. I've read a few complaints, however I have not had any issues with it and will continue to use it. Oh yeah an occasional plugged up nozzle, or leaky can. Yeah a...
Well Papabear you are correct. Although I remember one channel with rabbit ears. The bag phone was awesome, you could hear it great even with back ground noise. Only thing was it looked silly on a belt clip...LOL
And no I don't worry about younger folks making me look bad with computer stuff. My...
Actually I was going to look next for their number. Just hadn't got to it.
Just so you know. I'm old enough to remember when there was no internet or cable tv. And ..because of the internet, YOU gave me their number, THANKS!!!!
Anybody know when their website will be back up? Will need to order some paint soon and was wondering if I should start looking somewhere else. I have used their products a lot over last couple of years and have had no issues.
Its been many years since I worked on these as they are all gone now from the fleet. but here are some thoughts
From reading the post I doubt any issue with glow plugs as it starts! Glow plugs should not cause it to shut off after a few seconds. Also plugged in and nice and warm, Glow plugs are...
That half track is awesome..
We really enjoy taking the trucks to kids shows. Seems some of the parents/ grand parents enjoy them as much as the kids do.
Glad you got it tagged!!!
I pay an extra $30 dollar fee here and its worth every penny not to have to deal with the state. I make an appointment, walk in and 10 minutes later done. They actually try to "help" you get things tagged. Go figure!! Yes its a private business like anything else, they...
There are some commercial spot/work/deck lights that use very similar clips. I can't remember the brand, but they also make "through the post" spot lights as well. They have a ring around the sealed beam with a single screw holding the ring on the housing. The clips hold the bulb to the ring...
I wonder what the thinking is behind pulling a thermostat and not replacing it. Maybe none in stock? Sure wont warm at all without one and the engine is designed to run at 180.
Thanks Djones, was wondering about that. Interesting it has 2 "sand" colored air brake lines on the trolley valve in...
New to me M931 with inop temp gauge. I tested the gauge and wiring and they passed. After driving I used infra-red heat gun and measured temp at base of sending unit. Then measured resistance of sending unit and resistance was very close for 120 degrees F. So I figured maybe thermostat stuck...
It does look like international grille. I guess since IH is having hard time coming up with a new engine that meets US emissions, they sold them to china. Its ok if they stink up the planet! Or maybe the Chinese copied the hood.
No solenoid on My M931. Just a manual selector valve, [mounted left of driver seat on floor]and a manual switch[left of steering column, under dash] to select which tank the fuel gage reads. Looks like would be pretty easy.
I agree with all of you. But...You have to admit, sitting next to each other the 809's are tough looking. Nose looks longer, though not sure it is. Just shape. Got to love the tilt hood on the 939 though. Like I said buy both or whatever you find your budget will allow. Either will be a blast.
I have soft tops on all mine, none leak. Although window gaskets do. Pro's and con's to both depending on what you like. Manual transmission vs automatic, Air brakes [wedge brakes] vs air over hydraulic. Both have power steering. A sprag engaged front axle on the 809's and manually engaged on...
Not sure on the BMY-Harsco thing. I am curious about that as well. I know AM General goes through no problems. To be used commercially it would need to be state inspected and tagged for its GVW. Don't hold me to it but I think empty weight is around 23k lbs. Add minimum of 5 tons payload and...
Lot of small stuff seems the same. I think doors are the same. Also things like switches, gauges etc are the same. filters and maintenance items you can get from anywhere. I have both and have had no problems with parts for either.
