So, I think everyone has covered things pretty well, but since Eliteweapons is the only one so far (that I noticed) who mentioned rain... The only time that I have had an issue with stopping one of my deuces or five tons has been when braking hard in the rain with NDTs...then the lack of...
If you bring that rig down to the Graves Mountain Rally over the Labor Day weekend, beware the BMan (aka: Chuck) in the HQ Tent (registration) will be seriously drooling over it. He used to run a drill rig taking geotechnical samples back in the day...
You are right, the event is over the Labor Day weekend (every year, only thing that changes is the actual calendar dates by a day or so...).
Event this year is August 31-September 5, 2017.
This year's event info/thread is at...
Just a reminder, or a plea, to get your registration forms in so that we can ensure that we have everything ready for when you arrive...and so that you can save a few bucks...
The shirt order was placed this afternoon... We'll have plenty of them for those of you who attend... Chuck's done a great job with the design again this year...
Also, speaking of shirts, Rick Sultan of http://dodgepowerwagongear.com/is donating a box of swag for us to use as prizes for...
Got a few tweaks to make to the T-Shirt design and it will be ready for the guys at the show down the street from my office... ;)
Working on my "to do" list since we are one month away from the rally...
Blake reached out and told me about the service that he uses, and offered to store them at his place for a while....
Just exploring the options, but most likely will follow his (and your) advice... :)
Thanks!
Ran into these videos today and was reminded that Karl hopes to bring the halftrack back again this year...

Exploring my options and trying to save myself at least one trip to Portsmouth, VA...
Any one able to go over and pick up a lot of 750x16 tires (14 of them) for me next week and either hold on to them for a short while or convey them over to Blake Sheppard's place?
The tires have to be removed...
The short answer is that you can replace it with a tube with (or without) a filter on it...
That complex bit is really just a tub with a filter around it...
My M37 with the Cummins 4BT has a modified pickup in the tank that is just a rigid tube (piece of brake line) with a generic sick filter...
Spent the weekend with the good folks from Rockridge Offroad (local jeep club) running all the trails and performing maintenance on them. Did a whole lot of cutting (amazing how fast stuff grows...) and confirmed that we can run the five ton trucks behind the Lodge on a new trail as well as...
Conny's posts are a great reminder that we have lots and lots of space so bring whatever you want to sell/trade/donate...
There is no extra fee for vending or for taking up an acre or two of space for all your vehicles and gear... :)
Chuck dropped by my office yesterday and told me that he and his wife have come up with the idea for the shirt's artwork... He hopes to have it drawn up this weekend... ;)
I really liked the idea, but will wait to tell all of you until it is ready, just in case he changes his mind...
Considering that the tent we use as a HQ during the event has the flaps for using these ducts, and I have heaters with no ducts (no A/C unit though...), bring them and I will take them off your hands.
May not use them during the event, but I know that I can put them to good use at other times...
I'm planning on swinging by... Got a car club event first thing in the morning, but I may skip that in order to make an earlier arrival.
Kinda depends on if/when I can borrow that Schutt SLC-T for moving containers around since Pat made a comment about shifting a container around at his...
A couple of weeks ago, I helped a buddy move some containers from his old home to his new property using his Schutt trailer...
Have to say that it was a really fun weekend since the new "toy" worked like a charm and behaved wonderfully behind my M931, the conversations were good, and because...
