As mentioned above, as long as the valves are in good shape, you can go down the road with the PTO spinning the pump and it will be ok...but you are putting a bit of faith in the system and adding a lot of wear to things.
The linkage setup that controls the dump up/down/hold function is combined...
I wasn't going to go there...but I was thinking it... :)
That is one benefit of my having the rally at the family farm...we do have a bunch of recovery vehicles and that fully equipped heavy equipment shop (and a bunch of M37 owners on hand to assist...).
Updated the flyer/registration form today and sent it and the link to last year's photos (on flickr) to Amnon for the website update...
With luck, I've managed to attach the flyer/registration form to this post (it's a PDF).
I'm not going to be able to make the rally...
Shoot me a PM with your phone number and a good time to call and I'll tell you all you want to know (and more) about owning HMVs in NC.
Keep in mind that I do have a copy of the General Statutes and DMV Manuals on my desk.. :)
I also need to tell you...
If you don't score them at the rally, let me know and I'll make you a deal on the above as I know I have the stuff in stock...
I can bring it all up to Graves Mountain for the Bluegrass Festival the weekend after Memorial Day (actually, I will be at the farm from Memorial Day through the...
So, I just learned that I have to be at three project sites this week that are at different ends of the state (NC)...
So, it looks like I will not be able to get to the rally this year (for the first time since 1990...).
This is the second event that I have had to miss this year due to work...
I'm on my phone and can't seem to edit my above post...
I just wanted to add that a listing of vendors who have already reserved spots might also help some folks on their decision to attend....
It's a shame that there is not a listing, as there has been in the past, on the website showing who has reserved the spaces that are occupied already. I know that it takes effort, but it would be nice for those of us displaced by the rearrangement to see where folks are so that we know what...
I got to playing around with the Flickr account yesterday and thought that I would upload all of the photos that I had collected from this event into one place...
So, go over to https://www.flickr.com/photos/124394777@N06/collections/72157677043750354/ and enjoy...
Oh, in case you are...
Considering that I have a trailer that will be converting the front half into a RV (leaving the rear for gear), the more threads like this, the better IMHO...
It will be interesting to see...
Since they are eliminating an entire double row of vendor spaces, they have less to sell.
That being said, I am seriously thinking about not purchasing any spaces this year (I have been getting four...) and instead getting a hotel room for a night and not...
So, I just got my letter from Anja at the Washington Area Collectors/Blue and Gray Military Vehicle Trust with the vendor information and renewal form for my spaces at this year's event.
According to the letter, the 44th Annual East Coast Rally will be held on May 11-13, 2017 at Ripken...
We did mention at the Sunday's bonfire that you had missed the event for this reason and raised a toast to your Dad...
We are looking forward to seeing you this year, no matter what MV you bring or don't bring...
So, the list of things that folks have mentioned that I should tweak for this year (copied over from a post in last year's thread so that I will remember them):
White board at the HQ tent for updates to the trail ride schedule and to remind folks of Mike's availability for range duty, etc.
A...
The thread for the 2017 event is now up and running...
