    Deuce Door latch

It is a lot easier to replace the latch with the window glass removed. Even then, it has to be twisted just the right way to come free. You will need to unscrew the inside handle and the 3 screws holding that part of the linkage along with the I think 4 screws that hold the latch itself on the...

    PTO boots

I bought a set of them from OD Iron. How do you get them on right without pulling the entire PTO off?

    Airpack modification for towing

I will take a stab at explaining the how. Fluid is sitting in the master cylinder above the piston that moves when you push the pedal. When you do push the pedal, fluid already in that cylinder gets pushed or actually in a good system, pressurized. The next thing down the line from the master...

    Spray Cans clog on use.

I have the same clogging issues sometimes. I can't find a pattern to it, but sometimes they work and some days they clog no matter what I do.

Now, you can justify the wrecker. Go get it!

    54 Reo I found

Different running lights, different mirrors, modified dash as mentioned, non fording kit, no horn button, something weird about the battery box, loose wiring under the dash, no mud flaps and what looks like a multi fuel fuel tank. Judging by the paint not applied under the dash, I would guess...

    Turbo ID

LDS 427? Curiouser and curiouser. I am the non biased person asked to listen to the second one. Standing near the truck at idle, you can't hear any turbo noise. Even when he drives to you or away from you, no turbo noise. Only as he works his way through the gears and gets 50 yards or more...

    Time for the cab

Looks good. I need to tell you that all that paint on exhaust manifold is going to be up in smoke the first time you drive a mile or so. I had high temp paint on mine and it lasted through a lot of idling around running. Not so much left after the first run down the road. Now that I have 100...

    Goose chase

I know he hasn't even seen it yet. I also know Chris. Therefore, I was trying to get at the head of the line in the event he gets the truck and wants to sell it. Plus, "how much?" seems to be my next comment after I tell Chris I am out of money, don't want to hear what he has, can't afford it...

How much you want for it Chris?

    Sarge rides again!

Sounds like fun. North Rim of the Grand Canyon is wide open and amazing to see without all the people around you. Drive safe.

    20" rims on 715?

No. The M715 bolt pattern fit it and some other trucks made in the 1950-1970 time frame. All with split ring rim 16" tires. Gama goat rims with different centers were a popular conversion at one time. Stick with the stock rims or go to a place like Marsh Racing and have them build you a set.

    1952 Deuce Manufacturer?

What does the data plate show?

    1952 Deuce Manufacturer?

My 1952 M35 and my 1953 M35 are both made by REO. Studebaker also made them at that time. I do not know if any others were involved then.

    New V-100

The Gasser isn't "done" yet. I should be able to finish sanding the hard top tonight and maybe get it painted. Then the entire bed that I put back on last week to do the motorhome recovery has to come off and get the treatment. Then, it will be almost "done." But, as you know that "almost...

    New V-100

Looks like you got what you wanted Rory. I am between you and Houston if you need help getting it back. Matter of fact. I am driving the Gasser to Houston Saturday to bring back a motor home, going back to Houston on Sunday for a family thing, going again the Sunday after that for more family...

International Title Service --- A+ SERVICE!

I used ITS for my Gasser title as well. 2 weeks after I sent the paperwork and a check in, I had my title. I took the new Alabama title and changed it over to Texas that afternoon.

    Deuce differences

Sounds like you have one that went through a rebuild and has all the good stuff. Those big light buckets look pretty good on the M715 too. I ran them on mine until I realized I like the small ones better.

    Deuce differences

There should be a data plate on the passenger side of the engine that says what make, model and size it is. My 1952 Gasser M35 had a drop side bed on it when I got it, so you aren't alone. The transmission is kind of easier if the truck drives. The non over drive unit has a regular shift...

    Deuce differences

didn't answer all of your questions. The air assisted brakes were a feature on all M35's from the start. some of the late '80's Air Force trucks had a dual line brake system, but most all have the same old single line system with air assist. Steering assist except if very rare cases, is a...
