Ted is a good fellow.
The last time I was there he had several HEMMT's in various states of disrepair.
Wear your britches with the deep pockets.
This is my take on removal from remote (unmanned) sites.
If there is a GL rep there once a week then you have ten weeks to get your stuff if you cannot work around their schedule.
The rule is 10 "working days"........I would argue that point with GL if they threaten you with "abandonment"...
Kudos to the outgoing Sky Pilot......thank you for your service to our site.
I can think of no better person to step into this job.
Selfless service is a leadership trait that few have.
Thank you John for being the leader of our flock.
As soon as I send him my banking info he is going to deposit 2 million bucks in my account.
You guys just don't have faith in your fellow man.
GL watch out!!!!!!!!
Yea.....sure.:roll::roll:
I wish there was a cyber torpedo that could be launched at these Bozos that would melt down...
I have lost a lot of hair from being singed by the old gas burners......I would recommend up grading to the MBU's.
SS member SCSG-G4 is our resident MKT guru......he can help you with issues.
Sounds like you are going have to do a complete service on all the rear wheels....you need to find out why all the seals blew at one time......the rear ends could have been overfilled.
You can clean the shoes with brake cleaner if they are still serviceable.
There should be some suppliers...
Most diesels will tolerate some alternative fuels.....that being said you could call a CUCV a flex-fuel rather than a multi-fuel.
As stated above if you put straight gasoline in a CUCV you will cause major engine damage.
The Multi-fuel can use gasoline as an emergeny fuel but will not do...
That is how I repaired the line that goes from the IP to the injectors on the 400 Cummins in the new M915......you have to get the exact size brake line and compression fittings. I took it out on a shake down run yesterday and it did not leak at Wide Open Throttle.
An old school diesel mechanic once told me that if water got past the IP it could cause the tip of the fuel injector to blow off (the steam thing) and inject unatomized fuel into the cylinder....this often results in a hole being melted into the piston.
I had it happen to a 400 Cummins in a...
They will both get stuck if operated improperly......the most important thing on sand is floatation.....staying on top of the sand and not digging in.
Best way is to air down the tires......super singles may have an advantage over duals in sand.
Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Accademy.:cookoo:
Not only are you addicted it would seem that you have pulled a loved one into your madness.
You are toast.auaaua
A lot of idiots need to be removed from the gene pool.....unfortunantly they often take innocent people with them.
You can't fix stupid....but you can make it expensive and painful.
I drove a lot of trucks with "Yamahas" in them....never met one I liked.....they do have a cool sound when they are wound up.
I have to say the HEMMT's did a fair job when loaded but you had to keep the throttle against the firewall to get anything out of them. (they had the big V-8 two stroke...
The best way to get to GL Redstone is to go south down Memorial Parkway (Hwy 231) and look for the 2nd Wal-mart.......turn right just before the Wally World and follow that road to the gate. Once you clear the gate go through two traffic lights.....take the first paved road past the 2nd light to...
The bottom line is we cannot continue to spend money we don't have....no matter how well intentioned the program.
The Fed government needs to shrink drastically....now.....any agency that is unnessary needs to go away......agencies that do the same thing need to be combined and downsized...
