It's not just you......I looked at my GL spread sheet (tells what you bought, when you bought it and how much you paid) a few months back.......I won't make that mistake again.:shock::shock:
I noticed that the inner fender panels are held in by a few nuts and bolts.....seems easier going in from the side than hanging upside down and doing it from above.
Only one lug will have to come off the starter but of course it it the hardest one to get to.
Since I have an air supply and a...
The lady with the white top on is.........errrrr......gifted......yea...gifted.
Did they do that without asking permission????
Not that I would have denied it.......but it is proper photography etiquett to ask.
Are those huge tires in the background off of the Land Train???
Jim,
Thanks.....I have missions for the next two days so I may give you a call Wed or so.......I would love to resolve this with little or no expense and a minimum of gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands.
Did you remove the inner fender panels and take off the tires? Looks like they come...
I got the fuel line issue with the new (to me) M915 resolved.
Reinstalled the driveshaft and took her out for a shakedown run.....runs and shifts out good.
The batteries were dead so I had to slave it off.....she now has four new batteries installed.
She cranks good but there is a clicking...
Where are they at???
There are several members in LA.
It would be easier to find someone that has a parts engine.....that line is prob too high pressure to splice.
Other option would be to tow it to a place where repairs can be made.
I googled the crap out of "saddle mount" and could not find a manufacturer or dealer.
These are what they use to transport new commercial trucks hooked together.
DAMFINO where you could get one.
The issue with a saddle mount is that you have to have a lifting device on both ends to get the...
On a road tractor the weight is on the 5th wheel which gives you a lot more braking power and pulling power than with towed weight.
For a short tow I agree that you could use the M818 to move the wrecker......it is a long way from Shelby to Pinellas Park, FL. Unless you dodged all the scales...
Towing an M816 with an M818 will get you killed, someone else killed or shut down by the DOT.
The M816 weighs 36,000 pounds......the M818 about 20,000......using the brakes on the wrecker is iffy at best and in a panic stop prob a no-go. If the wrecker or tractor blows a steering tire you are...
I recently posted that I was going to scrap out a Bolster Trailer and use the axles on another trailer (the drop deck that an expando van came off of) to lower the deck level.
Right now I have my drop side deuce bed on the trailer and I noticed today that a long bed would be perfect to make...
BUMP!!!!!
I have a 0800 appointment at Redstone Monday morning (8 Aug).......if anyone needs anything previewed or picked up let me know.....I will be in the big truck and have a 26 foot gooseneck behind it.
PM if interested.
DOH!!!!!! I stand corrupted.
I know there is a big hole in the ground (like a hollowed out mountain) up there somewhere that is supposed to control things if the missiles start flying.
A couple of years ago at Cheyenne, WY they had brand new 16MM film projectors that had never been opened. I think there were over a hundred of them.
Since that is SAC headquarters I figured they were going to be used after WWIII to show training films.
Makes me wonder if they have a...
