Asking price on the new fenders is 200 bucks each since I have to schlep them to the rally. Since I have the attention span of a gnat they are first come first served. I just can't do reservations on parts.
Sounds like an wiener Oscar Meyer.
I'd be on that like a hobo on a ham sandwich.
The issue is are the engine and tranny still together and in the frame.....if so you can put some small axles and tires on it and be able to move it around.
A deuce engine can be a pain to move and...
Kenny, Kenny, Kenny..........you're missing the big picture here....why do something with one crew when you can use several and ensure that there will be plenty of work for all concerned.
On a related note Union representitives are up in arms over a gooberment proposal to purchase shovels with...
All of the Korean military vehicles that I encountered when I was over there were diesel powered....even the small Jeep knock offs.
The Korean deuce versions had a lot smoother sounding engine than ours.
I have NOS right front fenders for M35A2's. These came out of GL and are brand new....I had to remove them from the crates to put them in my storage van but they are not scratched or dented.
I also have a NOS 5 ton right fender unless FT gets off his arse and pays me for it.
These will be...
I saw a lot of them when I was over there....acutally I think it was a knock off of the M38......it had straight axles...not independent suspension like the M151.
Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Accademy.:cookoo:
If you have some free time around the end of Oct. join Gimp and some of the other guys from up that way at the GA Rally.
More fun than you can shake a stick at.:jumpin:
I took mine to the GA Rally last year....divided it in half and use the front for a hooch...rear is for trade goods. The insulation makes it easy to heat with a small ceramic elec heater.
Last year WoodyWood pulled it for me...this year I have the new M915.
You need to bring it down to the...
The 250 is a natually aspirated engine.......in a heavy truck it lacks pulling power and due to the way the transmission is set up there is a big drop in RPM from 2-3......it can be difficult to build speed up or maintain speed in rolling hills or when pulling grades.
800 series trucks are...
I think the blending is very important when using a mixture of fuels (diesel, WMO, WVO, etc.).
I seldom dump anything except straight diesel into the deuce tank......I have a 55 gallon mixer drum for small batches of fuel. I pump/pour the different fuels into the drum and then, using my 12...
My work deuce smokes a lot before the engine hits a good operating temp.
Once I have driven it a while the smoke clears up unless I let it pull down around 1500 RPM.
I remember convoys in Germany where you could look back a see a fog of smoke along the route due to drivers lugging the...
They have to be cooked correctly or its like having a mouth full of BB's (under done).
They should be slightly thick but not soupy. Salt and butter should be cooked in with them.
Best eaten with over medium fried eggs mixed in. Add biscuits and ham and you have a real breakfast meal.
Some...
The 416 tailers were usually pulled by a M151 and had the same bolt pattern.
The older 101 style trailers had the same bolt pattern as the M37 and were often pulled by them.
I think some of them were refitted with axles that had the same bolt pattern as the 5/4 ton pickups.
But my memory...
They are basically a civy truck that has some mods to make it military friendly (4 volt elec system, pintle hitch, blackout drive, etc.)
The 400 Cummins engine is reliable (up grades have the 60 series Detriot in them).
The CAT tranny in the early ones is good as long as you don't have...
Is it white smoke (denotes oil burning) or grey/black smoke (denotes excessive fuel or lack of air).
Might want to check the air cleaner just for S&G's.
We would be glad to have you.
We are so over that whole "War of Northern Agression" thing.
Yankees are welcome, encourged to spend money and then expected to leave.rofl
Unless you emigrate here......then you become a "Dam Yankee" and we will accept you as one of us in 10-15...
