Just got back from the vendor...she will be emailing me a "proof" picture and I'll post it.
There is a possum on it. Don't be a possum h8ter until you see it.
She has American made shirts but as expected they will be a few bucks higher but they have pockets.
Long sleeves are doable but no...
I have seen them used as wreckers by small units that were not authorized a 5 ton wrecker.
They could pick up jeeps and small trucks.....deuces and above they flat towed.
They would hook a towbar to the vehicle and raise the front of it up with a chainfall.
Some units used them to move...
You cannot see dik out of those small mirrors......that is why they were changed over to West Coast mirrors.
Unless you just want a period look I would stick with the big mirrors.
I assume speed is not an issue....just pulling power.
The 911 is geared very low.....the only advantage you will have with the Cummins may be fuel economy....the V-8 Driptriot wil suck the bottom out of a fuel tank.
Even with the Detroit in them they will pull He!!'s half-acre if you can get...
I have made a command decsion to go with a tan shirt (I liked CAMO's shirts from last year) and green has been done at several rallys.
I am going to the vendor tomorrow and will try to have a design posted tomorrow night.....I will ask about long sleeves and pockets (I like a pocket T-shirt...
I got the headlight issue resolved (hopefully). I was getting 24 volts through the 12 volt system and fried two headlights. Thanks to Freighttrain for the assist on that.
I still have no guages so my next step is to remove the covering from the wiring harness that snakes around the front of...
Clinto has given me the T-shirt concession this year.
He is going to put up a 2011 GA Rally T-shirt order thread shortly.
Please use that to let me know sizes, long or short sleeve and quantity. Do not put your order on this thread or PM me.
Cut off for order will be mid-September. I'll...
When I was stationed at Fort Benning my unit had to support the Bradley Officers Course.
Once every cycle the new "Bradley Commanders" had to swim the vehicle across Victory Pond.
This entailed erecting a "Swim Vane" that was supposed to keep the vehicle from taking on water and sinking...
I have a M105 bed that was sand blasted and I painted it OD Green.
I went back and did some patch work on it and sand blasted where I was welding....so it's kind of OD green with some rust highlights.
I was going to use it on my bob deuce but the idiot that bobbed it screwed up the wheelbase...
BUMP!!!!
I have the new parts installed on the alternator and my short issue in that area seems to be resolved (no more sparks when I touch wires).
I bypassed two of the batteries (should not have cold start issues this far south) and I am showing 24 volts and 12 volts on the respective...
My NAPA had them in stock but they were 13 bucks a pop  ........I got diddled without getting lubed. Only bought one of them to see if relays are the issue. To change them all would be over a hundred bucks.
They sold a M911 a while back out of Arkansas with a big trailer (not a 747).....it was sold and then relisted (first buyer must have defaulted).
If I remember it went very high.
Once the dealers get a hold of them they skyrocket in price.
Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Accademy.:cookoo::cookoo:
The little lady is gifted with precognition.
As stated above the GA Rally is the premier SS event in the southeast.
As one of the chief cooks and bottle washers I can tell you that the food this year will be outstanding. We have...
No one has mentioned the fuel selector to change fuel tanks.....it is located to the left of the drivers seat. They are notorious for the seals drying out and creating an air suction in the line.
If that happens on the road you can do a field expedient repair by bypassing the valve with a rubber...
