Or did you get it from this guy. (hint...he has been known to wear a pink tutu).
I did successfully run laquer thinner in one of my deuces (mixed with WMO)......never had issues except for the smell and the cleaning qualities. Had to change filters two times before all the crud was cleaned out...
I put a set of bucket seats out of a Dodge Neon in the M109 I had and it gave me a lot of extra space.....I'm not a big guy but depending on how FUBAR the oiginal seat is you can get constricted.
The M109 came with the box seat in it so it was a non-starter for me....I always hated them...
When the A3 Deuces first came out I remember them going for over 12K.
The 900 series 5 tons started out like that.....over 15K in some cases.
It is all supply and demand......there are more and more 900 series coming out the gate and they will be cheaper until the supply dries up (there were...
I am 160 miles from Redstone and I charge $300.00 for a vehicle or trailer recovery (a little less if I am going up there anyway). That is a hair less than 2 bucks a mile.
In a deuce it it pretty much an all day affair plus during this time of the year it is hotter'n ell in the deuce. I figure...
I enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting some new folks but to be honest I was not impressed with that venue.
Getting stuck was my fault but some good solid foundation on the main roads would be helpful.
The facilities left a lot to be desired also (bathrooms nasty).
Maybe I am...
Are you buying from a manufacturer or a middleman?
Since they will not communicate with you I would call my credit card company and do a chargeback.
There was a member on here selling them a while back.....maybe you should throw them some business to them.
By compressing the fiberglass you negated most of the insulation value although you may have quietened it down some. It will hold water and turn into a mush when it gets wet.
I vote for the Dynamat or other such materials sold through hot rod sites.
I know the military had a sound deading...
At some point in time you have to let some oil go......in an extreme emergency situation where every drop counted I would try to filter oil that had a lot of water in it but under normal circumstances I cut my losses.
You can set it out in the sun in a dark container and let the heat do some...
I have been on SS for several years and it has become a constant in my life....kind of like the Army.
99 percent of the folks I have met here are great folks that will do all they can to help a fellow member out. The bad ones are quickly rooted out and kicked off.
When my son's house burned...
They are mounted on 5 ton rims (did I forget to mention that:cookoo:).
I want to keep the 900X20's mounted so I can pimp them off or use them on the M275 (which needs some new tennis shoes).
Good question from the "Tow Ho".rofl
I'm not sure how you feel about appearances but I would lose that plastic sissy bumper and make one that looks like a mini deuce bumper. Build it out of wide channel iron, bolt it securely to the frame and put some deuce shackle mounts on it. That way you...
I need 10 empty deuce rims with good rings. Crusty and rusty are OK as long as they are sound.
I have 10 mounted 1100X20's that I want to put on my work deuce without breaking down the deuce tires (twice the work for my old azz).
Can anybody help a brother out?
Anytime I flat tow any vehicle I use two rubber tarp straps to secure the wheel......they allow the wheels to turn some but will pull the wheels back to straight track as soon as you complete the turn.
