They are pretty rare everywhere except in the UK. Total production was only around 2600 - some went to Oz, some Belgium and some Kuwait. The Brits left a few in Belize and also Canada.
Needle Roller Bearing Restoration - Trolley Rollers #20
Yes - this is possible and will save megga bucks and is appropriate for this situation as the trolley rollers #21 are not exactly rotating at thousands of rpm. With a 300' recovery, they may trundle back and forth a whopping 4 times across...
Corrosion in Trolley Frame - Blocked Drain Holes
Forgot to add this pic showing the corrosion to the inner bore of the trolley frame due to blocked drain holes. Potentially this could be too much grease being pumped into the ball bearings below, forced up past the felt seal.
It might be worth...
Ordered pivot shaft bearing from Fastenal today. Around $25 ea. I ordered a spare in-case anyone else needs one and doesn't have access to a local store.
Don't even bother with NAPA - their bearing books don't go that small.
Added captions to pics in post #4. Was in the middle of doing...
Tips - continued + pics
OK - good news/bad news on the broken pivot shaft #16: No luck yet on finding a replacement however on closer inspection of cleaned parts and test reassembly - there is a shoulder on the shaft that draws tight the shaft with the large nut on the bottom #17, so NOT...
Lifting off/on heavy level wind
Should have added link to previous thread re lifting heavy stuff off of rear bed using the "inboard technique" but here are a few pics as I can't remember the thread title..
Pics will be added to thread as it developes - but please note YELLOW edits of post #1 (assuming that I can still edit...) to basic proceedure or newer post as necessary.

Note EDITS in YELLOW when re-visiting thread.
Servicing is required if any of the grease fittings are blocked and/or any of the bearings, rollers or cable...
Looks mostly complete - ++spotlights unobtanium!!, however missing spare tyre gantry/hoist, bottles and looks like the exhaust goes somewhere else rather than up the stack shield. Not sure if the nose is covered with tools towbars etc., like the armoured cab version...
Absolutely needs to be...
I think some searching or thread combining is falvour of the month...

For those that need it - Here are the dims for machining a collar to allow you to pull a civi semi-trailer, having a 2" King pin with your LET, MET or HET that has a 3 1/2" fifthwheel.
These can be acquired from the UK or even Australia though since they are NOT HIGHWAY LEGAL you will need a...
Ha ha.. Yup, it's prety straight forward. Use the minority colour to 'break' up the corners, middle straight edges top to bottom and wheel arches. Plenty of examples around (on the interwebs), varous books and forums...
They do look fantastic in BRG with complementary galv cappings but only...
Most being the operative word. Since they were all gassers (Rover 3.5 V8, they fell by the wayside when the fleet went all diesel. There was a rumour that they may have been retro fitted with Perkins but that too didn't happen.
No, Malaysia trialed them but the Volvo won the contract. I tried...
I think you are looking at "highway" setup.... It has the range to act like one of those "singlewide" transporters with the hyd cyl that picks up the hitch to compensate for road crown etc., when positioning said house.
Stability would be compromised at highway speed if the casualty was...
Agree - the stock wheels/tyres on a driven axle are next to useless "off road". Got mine stuck on wet grass, luckily I was going up a 1 degree slope - virtually level and gravity got me back to traction.
Nice mod with the bigger tyres (John's truck in VT looks great - search the NH rally)...
