I am guessing now, but would say the problem did not originate in the S/P Relay box. No sense looking at the plug, too much collateral damage. You need to look at the wire harness and see what burnt wire went where.
Using the NSN to try and find a TM, is hard. The NSN comes up 20-25 times, shown from companies who sell parts. They get ALL their information from the FEDLOG. The Government Logistic system. They pay a rent fee for the use of FEDLOG. The one thing they will NEVER give you is the TM number. Not...

Nothing on the plate that's attached to the body - maybe it was on the old engine?
What I did find through searching the model/name was an NSN 3930-00-679-4458 and an FSN contract# 3930-679-4458.
The FSN was the grandfather of the NSN. When ever you see a FSN, simply add the two...
NSN: 6150-01-379-0592 30554
Part Number: 88-20256
Nomenclature: WIRING HARNESS, BRAN 60HZ
The MEP-803A Wire Harness will work perfectly. Its just that the wires that go to the engine portion will be longer that the MEP-802A. So cut em off, or coil them.
Do not just look at the pictures...
Nick ,
Welcome to the forum. Please start a thread on you generator problem. Its tough enough to help one person, keeping track of whats been done and to try. With two different gen sets and people giving suggestions, its chaos.
I moved it to the HMMWV forum. You should be able to post there. And in fact, your answer is here above my post. So it must work. Or are you trying to post someplace else?
There are some wires to the A5 card. Look at the back and front of A5. Almost he rest of the wires just co to other boxes, at a quick glance. Never saw a J10 or assorted wires burn. P1, oh yeah.
The only dumb question, is the question not asked.
The short answer is no, it can not be replaced by a MEP-803A Governor. Have you started a "parts Wanted" thread here in the forum?
Sometimes pictures are a very good idea.
What Breaker? Calling by the Military nomenclature helps keep everyone on the same page. All parts have something printed next to them with what it is. A circuit breaker would be for instance CB1 or CB3.
If you don't know where the load terminals are...
If I cant have a new filler neck, I would say a drop in replacement. There is nothing wrong with the way it was made, other then maybe better materials. It works as is. Don't fool with it.
This is a part I would have in my "Spares" Container for sure.
