Goldy, you are correct, the only thing holding the rear gun ring legs are those U-bolts through the back of the cab. The rear legs do have large, heavy "tabs" that rest on the u-bolts so you're not just trying to clamp a round bolt to a smooth shaft. I have not had problems as of yet with my gun...
Light in the Dark & Evil Dr. Porkchop, I feel compelled to commend you both for how well, and professionally, you handled the situation and individual. You both have demonstrated great personal restraint and I can't express how much I respect that.
This past couple years I've had various MV...
About 6 or 7 years ago a neighbor almost literally across the street from me had one that didn't run, sat for who knows how many years and probably had a lot of issues. He was going to sell it and offered it to me first for $1000. Not sure what he got for it (probably $750). I would have gotten...
You are too kind. My mother would call me impatient :shrugs:
But you are very welcome and by all means ask questions! It's so helpful to have somewhere to ask questions. I've actually seen a very small number of military vehicles in person, fewer deuces, and this is the only M66 gun ring...
My left and right wind shield hing "wingnuts" look to be the same to me. I mean, they are pretty "flat" I suppose. However, they are one item that I've paid little attention to so I can't comment how or if they are different from other trucks.
The wingnug It is about 1-7/8" from the...
Thanks Goldy for the compliments, it means a lot to me! None of it is perfect, I made mistakes, cut a few corners, but largely would do the same thing over again.
I will take some pictures of both left and right-side windshield hinges, but my initial guess is that they are stock/original and...
Ya even rolled the cargo cover the correct way! +1!
Looks great!
Also, I'm a fan of the spare fuel can look. I think MVs look good with one. (Some look good even with more if done right)
Is it permissible to leave a classified ad up, even if all items are sold, just until the buyer receives the item(s)? That way if there are any questions/disputes with items received, the seller can point the pictures in the thread?
Or is this desired to be handled differently?
What OS, Web Browser, Internet Service Provider are you using? I have trouble believing it has anything to do with upload speed unless latency is very high or the ISP. Barring those, it would then fall to Web Browser incompatibilities or, most likely, a server-side issue.
Well, the images are unmodified on Dropbox, and original file size and resolution are preserved - but I'm sure you knew that. I've removed them from Dropbox.
File sizes as reported by Windows: All are 4:3 landscape orientation with resolution of 3264x2448, except where noted

I just tried to upload the same 8 images that I tried to upload yesterday, with no success. The Manage Attachments seemed to behave the same and stopped "spinning" after about 20 seconds.
Edit:
Dropbox link removed as the files were removed.
Because it's not a problem with my internet connection or picture size. It's a problem with Steel Soldiers. I literally have zero other image issues like I do here. Be that me e-mailing pictures, or posting items for sale on local, free KSL classifieds, on Craigslist, or any Facebook posts. All...
I just tried 8 photos that I haven't uploaded before, a total size of 13.4 MB. The "Manage Attachments" window "spun" for almost exactly 20 seconds and nothing was uploaded (I tried twice, and timed it).
JPG Files are in the 2,000 - 3000 KB range.
SpeedTest.net rates my upload at 6.11 Mbps upload to Salt Lake City, Utah, with an 11 ms latency.
https://testmy.net/upload rates my upload at 5.9 Mbps upload to Dallas, Texas
http://speedtest.att.com/speedtest/ rates my upload at 6.14 Mbps to...
On Wednesday, August 30th, 2017, I drove the deuce to a Car Show at work and back with no belt squeals. I had show the gun to work's security to prove it was non operation, and the "loaded" bullets were blanks.
Chris Davis' 1945 Willys MB Jeep:
The rest of the show photo's can be...
I used to be able to select 3, 6, or even all 20 photos all at once and upload them. Now, sometimes if select more than one photo at a time nothing gets uploaded. Similar to what occurred previously the upload manager will "spin" and then stop and nothing will be uploaded. Unfortunately it...
Thanks Mr. Jbulach! My apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I just spent 2-days in mistaken site ban purgatory (I thought the site was down, lol! It's all good now).
I am very happy with the electrical air compressor's performance! I'm starting to get used to their additional...
