Home heating oil is #2 with a blended amount of kerosene for its antigelling properties. Best to add a heavy dose of a lubricity agent, only if you care about the fuel delivery components. It will just make the parts last longer. I would dose the onboard tank, as it refills.
Anything Lister you can get from the UK based dealer Sleeman and Hawken https://www.sleeman-hawken.com/.
Cracked lines will just hemmorage fuel, as they are pressurized from the fuel pump. Lines aren't the issue here.
You may be able to rebuild, a question for the dealer. Will need to have a...
A machine that I have had here for a number of years, that has finally come up to be moved out. Its not a turn key ready machine, but is an excellent unit for someone in the northeast who is willing to put some elbow grease in. The good and the bad below:
Good
Runs and makes power (not load...
I would pull all 4 metering pumps out and test each for ease of rotation of the pin assembly (as shown above). To do this properly, you need to back the top set screw off a bit (so when the fuel rack is fully pulled left, it can go slightly more left). Pull all 4 out and test (remember location...
Could use something as simple as a wall thimble for a pellet stove: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DuraVent-PelletVent-3-in-Wall-Thimble-3PVL-WT/100679724
If its close enough to weld you could always cut vertical slits into the exhaust pipe, and use a heavy duty band clamp to tighten it up and take up some of the space with contraction/distortion to make it a tight fit. More than one way to skin a cat.
If you are going to use a piece of exhaust pipe, just find an exhaust shop to flare out a piece of metal to the diameter you need. Should be pretty easy if they have a flaring machine. Or they can flare out what you have, if its not too large of a jump. Either way I think you can make it work.
Thinking outside the box, not sure its the greatest idea but you could always find a conduit coupler with a spread clamp on one side (to go onto BI already on the machine) and use EMT instead on the way up? Lighter for certain.
Find a local plumbing supply shop, should be good to price compare black iron. Lowes over in Ware has 1.25" x 10ft in stock at $50.xx per length.
I used to buy a fair amount of BI from R.A. Manley in Palmer.
No, but loosening each lead so the spray can get into everywhere is where I start... As well as the end of the switch opposite of the gauge panel. Remember to disconnect the batteries first, and soak that puppy! Exercise the switch till you get bored, then do it a few more times. Reconnect and...
Convenience outlets are live when the machine is running, regardless of phase selection or output lug settings. If yours is dead it could be the outlet, or a fuse, or a loose wire.
Before you start throwing cash at a new switch, you should not only deoxidize the one you have (my recommendation is
