It's a US/German made unit. Fischer-Panda has a US facility in Florida. This unit came from the 112th Special Operations Signal Battalion out of Bragg.
I called fischer-panda today and left some voicemails with their service department. Maybe they will have a panel. I don't think that GP155 will be compatible. I may try that universal one you linked if fischer-panda can't help. Thanks for the assistance!
Here's what I tried today.
Jumped the starter solenoid to see if the motor would turn over, it did and almost fired. The fuel tank is disconnected (that's the solid box on the back of trailer) and there is no internal day tank like in the 000 or 800 series generators, but it's nice to know the...
Picked up a interesting generator last week. I bought it mostly for the trailer (which has great tires, electric 24v brakes, adjustable height pintle, folding tongue and greaseable bearings) but I would like to try to get the generator running. Looks like the model number is Panda SSTr 40-4 PSC...
Since this is a newish post I'll reply. The 40194 fuel pumps available on eBay for $80 will work just fine (much cheaper than a 40193). You only need to take the electrical plug off the old unit and get 2 hose line adapters because the 40194 uses a smaller thread.
Pretty much everything you said is the process. Leave the TC bolted on until you drop the transmission. One time I installed and uninstalled 3 4l80e transmissions in 1 week on one of mine...
The more important question is how many digits your VIN on the title is. The MSV plate is nearly identical to passenger standard issue except in the middle at the bottom where it says "MSV". If you had/have registered it as anything different than MSV eventually DMV will come back and rescind...
Going to build it similar to my CUCVIIs. Probably green w/ black accents. Will be putting hutchinson beadlocks on it. Going to try actual CARC this time instead of the rapco stuff. The rapco paint just isn't doing too well in the weather and the shade varies drastically. The only good thing...
Haven't noticed it any worse than other surplus vehicles I've gotten. Probably had something to do with the 50 pounds of mud underneath and inside. Looks like the USDA liked driving it through creeks/rivers. Took me 2 hours to get all the mud out of the frame rails and body mounts. No rust...
Picked up a CUCVIII this week. It's a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. Runs great. Needs the regular maintenance stuff of a surplus vehicle. Will need a new AC compressor but I will likely replace everything short of the evaporator like I did in my CUCVIIs. This CUCVIII was on GSA a year or two ago. So far...
Good price, I paid more for both of my CUCVIIs and one was in worse condition than that CUCVIII. If I didn't have so many projects I would've bought it myself.
