Installed some IBIS TEK bulletproof windows. Got the glass, pins, and mounting brackets from a friend of mine. Only modification required is smooshing the defroster down with a sledgehammer and installing the brackets. Fits in any regular windshield frame. These have electric defrosters so I...
On larger gensets, ground and neutral are bonded. The wiring pictured is correct. Green always goes to L0. I chose 30 amp breakers in my circuit panel because the individual breakers on this unit are 30 amp. I have 4 of these units.
Put a face lift on the "Rod Hall" GMV last night. About time considering I have had these parts in my garage for months. Still have to put on the new tubular brush guard and the missing hood pieces. Some before and after pictures
I haven't checked the pressure. By looking at cylinder travel on the shocks I can tell that they still have pressure and are working. Because of the amount of times I have changed the idler and pitman arm on my other HMMWVs I will not be attempting this jump any time soon with them for comparison.
I only found a parts TM for these units, never a operator TM. I wired them into my three phase panel with 30 amp breakers on each phase. Wiring order is what I posted above.
If anyone has the operator TM for this, I will pay you money to scan and send it to me.
Here's me testing out the "Rod Hall" suspension not 5 minutes off the trailer. Rod Hall was a Hummer offroad racing legend from the early 2000s. The special forces used his company to build the suspension on these.
I picked up this M1025A2 from the recent GoDove auction. EUC wait time was 3 months. 2 of those months, the agent that signs the EUCs was on vacation. This was a special forces GMV that was upgraded. The shocks on this are nitrogen charged remote reservoirs. They're about 2-3x the size of stock...
Picked up a M1025A2 off the most recent GoDove auction Friday. EUC wait time was 3 months, but two of those months it was approved and I was told the person that signs them was on vacation. Not even 5 minutes off the trailer I had it doing jumps. I'm going to post the "Rod Hall" suspension in a...
Used my war digger yesterday to unload a generator out of the back of my 2500. Had to lift it with the backhoe then use the forks. If anyone needs a MEP-003A, this one will be for sale soon.
I believe I found the problem. I got a replacement bearing from the local auto parts place and replaced it. While I had it apart I noticed both brushes were cracked and broken. My theory is that part of the broken bits found their way into the bearing and caused issues. I installed the new...
It's the bearing. I find it hard to believe that two alternators in a row go bad soon after use and it's the bearing both times. Perhaps it is just poor quality bearings being used.
I'm stuck and don't know what to do. Here's what happened
M1009 Cucv Blazer, still 24v, glow plugs are not bypassed.
-Originally had no alternators when I bought the vehicle, bought two of them off Ebay. Both isolated ground 100ish amp alternators. All new gates belts.
-Driver side worked...
I'm having a problem. When I use the accelerator pedal fast or press it close to the floor, the hand throttle kicks back from where idle is to about half throttle. I have to manually put the hand throttle back to idle every time. Is this because of a lubrication point that needs to be serviced...
I replaced the shifter bushing this weekend. My SEE wouldn't shift into 1st or 3rd. I'd rather put in a $12 part than drop the transmission any day. There was almost nothing left of the old one. Shifts better than when I purchased thing war digger a year ago.
