Call me old school, but I prefer to run a pitman arm nut by hand via wrench or socket as I am paranoid the impact hits can cause seal problems over time. I have no scientific or real world failure to back that up but just my feeling and seeing how little that rubber lip is can cause problems...
Have you used a pitman arm puller ? Not a bearing puller. Pitman arm jaws are fixed.
Autozone and oreilly have them in their loaner tools.
Soak the splines with pb blaster.
Lisle and Otc make hd ones also.
Is it a haldex valve?
If so, look up the part number on their website and typically will list a rebuild kit if available.
Possibly bendix also might be available.
Might want To research and read up on them.

Beltfed on Ebay has some of the parts.
My recommendation is to use double walled weathered, aero, gates etc hose rated for oil cooler from a napa or real parts store. Retail Parts store will sell you a universal fuel hose and tell ya it will work....
Interesting history.
When you are further down the road. Post pictures of how they plumbed the hydraulics to operate front or back and connected to power stg pump.
Congrads on the m715. We might need to hold the next La Rally at your place....:tank:
My opinion is stretching the tube is ify and in the day when I ran Western auto stores, I would not install bias tubes in place of radial (other was ok) or install the wrong size tube.
A farm radial tube might be ok but not sure what speed rating it is but the m37 is not an indy roadster either.
I would ask militarytires.ca as they sell the tires and might be able to point you in the right direction as some Canadian tactical vehicles use them or used them recently.
