My MEP-802a is leaking from the shared fuel rail rubber lines supplying the fuel injection pumps. Looks like 1/4" line, But appears to be a bit of a pain to change with the external crimps on the lines. What size line do you use for this? Whatever size lines they are mine are leaking all over...
Measured the LOP switch and it is open with the unit not running. So bad. Thanks to @kloppk and his amazing referencing skills I was able to find a LOP on EBAY for a reasonable price. The Broken off breaker lever on the main circuit breaker... WOW $160 bucks... Hmm I will use a screw driver to...
OK, Both units are fired up. 1st one was a bit harder to get to started. Once running it ran smoky for about 1-2 min and then was clean and ran strong. Saw a few sparks from the exhaust (dust catching fire from what was in the muffler... :oops:I hope, LOL. Put a 60% load on it and ran fine with...
I did see that video last night! The one on how to prime the fuel system. Thanks for the excellent reference.
If the injector pump is stuck... I didn't see that referenced in that video, is there somewhere else to see the work around for it?
Hello, I have Two MEP-531s that I just purchased from GOVPLANET. So far I have-
New-Fuel Filter
New-Air Filter
New-Fuel Lines
Verified tank is perfectly clean.
Replaced padding around the fuel tank
I have some new 15w-40 T5 Rotella that I will be using for crank case oil.
My questions are...
Picked me up two MEP 531a 2Kw generators and a MEP 802a 5Kw on a trailer this week. Drove 1700 miles to the two GOV planet sites to pick them up.
Ordered some air, oil and fuel filters for them thanks to the guidance of the nice TMs and threads here on SS. Will be making one of the 2Kw units a...
I had no idea that the Bridge trucks had that mod of 3" longer rods and spring pack I would guess! That helps me out! I will be looking for some parts from a bridge truck: Torque rods, rear drive lines and spring packs. Thanks so much for posting this to help me find out what I need. Excellent...
It was the "upper one" of the steering hydraulic lines for the power steering if your talking about where it ran along the cross frame member between the two frame rails. I have snipped a couple of screen shots of my purchase off of EBAY to help you see what I purchased to resolve the issue. I...
Excellent job on getting Brutus up to speed with your attention.
I had a question about the quick connect fittings for the axles. I am guessing those are 1/8" NPT or 1/4" NPT to fit the axle housing? Yes I am lazy to go out and look myself.
I had thought to add a 2-3psi pressure regulator to a...
The M915- M916s are very heavy. HEMTT wheels are the ticket as they are 10 Ton rated. You will need the offset lug nuts that have a recessed cone that is threaded to ensure a proper number of threads grab, same as what a 5 ton would use to properly mount them.
I have seen some for sale like...
I have all my tires on HEMTT wheels. If you choose to run them on the rear the rear tires will be INSET just as much as the front tires will be OFFSET. So the front and rear will track several inches off of each other.
The benefit is that all your tires will be interchangeable.
This pic is back...
I live in Utah and it doesn't get too cold here but yes, cold is not what the NHC250 likes. Since the NHC250 is a dog to start in the cold, has anyone added an ether injector to their setup to assist in those cold days?
Now I do have the heater element, and my primer does seem to work, but it...
Swapped out the power steering hose that had poked a hole back in Febuary. That road side fix was so good I was lazy and put off installing the fixfor way to long. I had to cut the original tube off with a small tubing cutter to get it out from behind the other steering hydraulic line. The new...
I was wondering if I go to a big cam intake inter-cooler if I would loose my heater or if there is a need to switch over to an either injector instead.
