Ferro and I found a company in Roebuck SC that relines clutches and brake shoes. We sent off a batch of 16, and got them back in like 2 weeks. THe metal was sandblasted, varnished, and the shoe material was top notch.
Thats okay--- I bet an MRAP will find bottom on a mudhole just slightly slower than an Abrams. And instead of tracks, all you have are 4 tires.
A small city in my county just acquired an MRAP, and they call it an ARV(Armoured Rescue Vehicle) They claimed it was modified to drive thru water 6'...
Show some of the parade photos from the 2013 GA SS Rally. Impress upon the lawmaker the economic impact that 100+ trucks have on Greene County, and Durhamtown. Also point out that neighbor states do allow the MV's in question to be titled and driven on the highway.
I will BE THERE ON TIME, and I will have ferro's carcass with me, dead or alive. If he's dead, he can ride in a truck. If he's alive, he will drive a truck.:tank::driver::mrgreen::naner:
Late post, but I have been busy. After tracing down ferro's problem to a brand new condenser(we rebuilt the carb twice, the ING system three times, including 3 differnet coils). We tackled my clutch. Buttoned it all back up, test drove it, and we are ready for the trails.
Lots of folks have...
Come up to the Ga Rally. WE are at Durhamtown off road park, near Union Point Ga. There are deuces of all flavors here, and if you pay 10 dollar, and ask nice, you might even get a ride.
Come on down! Plenty of room, the air is nice and crisp. It should be a little warm for the yankees, just right for NC, SC, North Ga, and a bit cold for the southern boys. Right now it is overcast, with about a 5 MPH wind out of the NW, gusting to 10 or so. Weather man says it should be...
Just another wonderful day at the Ga SS rally. Much cooler, with a wind strong enough to keep the biting bugs down. Over night, the Morgans and Kenny showed up, and Carnac just now pulled in.
We are starting to get a rally........
0728, and it looks like I am the only one up. We did get rain showers, with some of them heavy enough to wake me up out of a drug induced stupor. I just rolled over and went back to sleep. Had two more M109's come in late, Dwight and some one else.
It looks like it is gonna be a buggy rally...
Well, it is day two of the Pre rally, and a wonderful sunrise is in the offing. Nice reddish orange glow over to the east, and not a cloud in the sky, or a breath or wind. The mocking birds just started up, and my squirrel dog is scanning the trees, looking for one to chase. The cow over at DT...
I have driven this M37, and I can backup everything about this M37. It is one of the nicest, cleanest, M37's that I have every laid eyes on. I know what I would ask, and yes, it would be north of five figures.
I think it's a little of both. We checked for spark, and had none. Come to find a bad connection(wires just twisted together). Plus only 19 volts at the coil. I did get it started, after having ferro tow me at 15 MPH.
Ferro and I will change the coil( borrowed Zout's) tomorrow) and I will...
Been to busy to post pictures. M37 has been giving me fits- the overheating has been cured, but now it won't hot start. Zout and Ferro think the coil may be going south.....
