Seems to me that our ancestors probably had it right for the perfect bug out vehicle....The fuel is free, they go through snow and can swim. If it breaks down you can eat it😁. On the negative side...the heater doesn’t work very well.
Unless your towing something really heavy or need a lot of ground clearance a Jeep or a Toyota Tacoma are both really hard to beat. They ride a lot smoother too.
There is a bleed nipple on the air pack that needs to be bled to remove the air from the master cylinder and air pack before moving to the wheels. I don’t have any pictures right now but it’s on the front of the air pack.
When you’re changing the oil get a kiddie pool and be ready for some pressure. I lined up two 5 gallon buckets and when I pulled the plug it shot over both of them and marked its territory all over my driveway. My wife is still angry about the stain but I smile everytime I see it.

Check out this thread on capping a brake line. It proved very valuable on our last deuce recovery. I’m sure you have them in your toolbox but you’ll probably want an 11/16 and a 1/2 box end wrench if you have to adjust the brakes...
Not sure if your into tractors or not but member Dukeman in Albuquerque has a great tractor for sale that has no rust and is a a great runner. You won’t find a nicer one and you could drive it home.
I know of a few for sale here in New Mexico. Not sure if your up for shipping one that far though.

Yeah...I really wish I would have taken some classes on this stuff during my failed attempt at a college education. Most things I learn are through trial and error but electricity tends not to give you that option.
Unfortunately I can’t run a solargizer because the truck is going to be in a storage unit and I’m renting. I don’t think the owner wants me mounting anything to his roof.
That makes sense now. I am doing all of this because the truck will be in a storage unit up at the lake and I don’t want it to be a fire hazard if anything gets shorted out. The backup camera if a safety device to prevent divorce...

So power wire to a switch then to a 24vlt solenoid then to the fuse block then to a switch which turns on the accessory?
Is all of this just for added protection from shorts?
Forgot to mention that I was planning on wiring the fuse box directly off the main battery. It just seems that I might still have power to the accessories as they will be grounded separately directly to the frame.
I am wanting to install a battery kill switch that kills all power to my M923 to prevent low batteries or accidental fire from rodent damage. I plan on putting the switch on the negative side of the battery cable.

Quick update... the new motor came in and everything works perfectly. I just need to find some vent hose to put in for the drivers side defrost. The original is gone.
