Well, I broke down and got another air governor. It is different than the one on the truck. The new one has ports in three different positions for r (I imagine tanks), v (vent?) and u (unloader?). Ok, nine different access ports. I understand the included plugs for the spare access ports.
I...
It is a pressure relief valve mounted on the end of the air governor. I found a good picture of one by doin a quick search. The picture were from gringletaub? The one I have is pic "d".
Rusty, the entire parking brake assembly along with new pads were located under the passenger seat...
Update... I picked out the better driving of the two and drove it home fifteen miles away without incident. Went through the fluids which all looked fresh. An old military buddy drove down...
They both have some sort of hydraulic valve mounted under the edge of the seat. I was instructed that you press on the brake pedal hard and flip this valve over to lock the brakes.
This sounds a bit shady to me. Fully pressurized brake system 24/7 causing failure, etc?
Said failure making me...
I'd offer scrap price on the weight on the data plate. That's what I paid for mine a year ago. I knew it had no brake pedal, leaking rear main and bad clutch. It's wo/w , has hardtop and staves and cargo cover with 74xx miles on an "86 rebuild with very little surface rust. Front six tires are...
@Hanksdeuce, that's the kind of schematics I pay money for on old beemers. I never found electric windshield wipers. I think I recall seeing "missile launchers"?
It looks like a condenser to me. Like used with an old gasser with points. It slowly sends un-used energy to ground. If you eleminate it, your alternator won't work. Try and see if the mount is only pressed or crimped on. Some times, you can roll the mount off and reverse it.
It also looks...
Actually, there are no fuses on the deuce. Supposedly there is a self resetting breaker in site the light switch. All I would like to have is a wiring diagram.
I was basically depot level maintenance and repair and had very small bibles.
I lost both my horn and electric wipers at the same time and have no idea where to start on troubleshooting.
I can find where and how to change a wiring harness (basically swap wires) .
