I rumble around in my 561 with its standard shift but my friend at eight years old had his left arm paralized on the operating table...
I plan to drive it on roads more than off road and it would have to go 55 fuel economy if it exists would be nice because. Intend to drive it a bit. I guess that means a average priced engine with fair economy and power that won't smoke the drive train..

Thanks MIke..I love my Gamma Goat but the M-561 isn't the easyest to work on at times. These sound like things a mechanic (when I help him he only charges double) could do fairly easy and I could do alot myself...

A friend has offered to sell me a 725 Ambulance. I plan to use it alot (Flea markets ect) and wonder which would be the most common engine swap for reliability and power. The shock is the back is literally a mint time capsule and all original parts will be saved.

It actually thumped in 6 wheel drive...When the guy who restored put the rear up you could tell somthing was off with the rear wheels when they spun. He drainedthe rear dif and it was rust and water..replaced the rear and it went away. Some have said that the positoin of the rear Dif vent tube...
I had my Goat shiped from TX. When the truck driver pulled it off his rig he said" That is one Bad Mother ****er" I don't often ask truck drivers for their opinion but when it rolls I am in their camp. He did say he thought there were rear end problems....he was right and 370 dollars later...

Well I found the brake pressure switch finnally after abit of a search and can not imagine a tougher place to access it. Has anyone replaced this switch and what angle did they come in from..
