They sit real high in my mind, wider than most tow vehicles, and unless you need hmmwv wheels/tires, another level of complexity.
My personal preference would be the m116a2 chassis series of gen set trailers or an m101a2 if you want the traditional "box" bed. Easy peazy rim and tires widely...

Put a parts wanted ad up. I found mine from a fellow member. Pretty straight forward if you wanted to make your own. Just one hole access and cut outs for the straps.

Just a note of caution that they do not fit a truck with no armour. They will need to be modified and stick out much further out from fender.

Just a make you feel better suggestion. Make sure oil dipstick is just showing oil and no water ( typically looks like a chocalate shake) to make sure head gasket ok and no cracks/gremlins. Is temperature running normal?

Interesting that the data plate calls it a m116a1 and references the tm for them. Most of the tires of that era used by the military were tube type is my guess.
It is probably a real special purpose build with very few made. I have a different radar trailer flat bed of another m116 salad build that has serial number 21 that I pulled home from Ft. Rucker. 900 x16 Tires scared me as they were 60's dated but rock solid since they are I think 16 ply or...
