They are not split rims and SPLIT RIMS are bad! When you contact tire folks ask them about lock rings which is the type of wheel on you M37, or Deuce has. Lock ring rings only go bad if they have been 1/2 buried in the ground or were beat to death by someone that doesn't know how to change. I...
I have met John on the road several times and he always seemed to have a shady type with him, once it was this CARNAC guy, on Home Depot parking lot hand off on the SS express. Another time he was on a recovery at Ft Riley with the more than suspect lindsey97, who was sitting in the shade...
Bjorn I know this is 8 years old but I go by that place on my way to Ft Riley didn't know about the HMMWV tires as their lot is stacked full of the giant earth mover Euclid tire which are shipped over wide
Dan get the title info from the seller before you pay and take it to the local DMV and if it is from out of state find out in your county were the Hwy Patrol does inspection (if it does not have a KS title it will need the inspection) and have them check the info before you buy, also if the...
They were doing them at the Blue Grass Arsenal also a couple years ago. They had an outside area where the trucks were blasted with dry ice to remove the CARC.
That is correct it was not made or intended to be a dumping trailer. It has been done but when it breaks the the casting at the pivot point it destroys the trailer.
I was clocked doing 24mph on a flat new hardball to see how fast I could get one going and it was a much fun as I could take without having to change underwear. Only held that speed for seconds and was wearing a complete moto X protective outfit. The mule really becomes unstable around 20mph and...
As it was stated up in this thread as long as you screw down the foot to make firm contact with the ground and have parking brakes on and wheels chocked it not going to tip. I hve forgotten the chocks several times and never had a problem either(knock on wood).
I have done the same with automotive body filler (bondo) and spot putty on a 44 WC Dodge steering back in the early 90's, it is a lot friendlier to work with then the JB.
To stop the inside rain effect which usually is heaver in colder weather simply hang either a chunk of old school tent liner(made out of cotton) from the under side of the bows so there is a "dead" air space between in and the cargo cover, flannel works really well for this also. Below freezing...

I am pretty positive Ben-Hur did not make a M100 trailer or Jeep size trailer, mainly 1.5T and up. You can get data plates and make them whatever you fancy. With that said a small 2 wheel vis mod trailer in that condition, unless the rear is cut out is still worth about 300 to 800 restored...
Your thread is not making any sense, A M101A1 should have a 5 hole Budd lock ring wheel, M101A2 & 3's should have a 8 hole 16" Chevy 1008 or dodge wheel (some late ones had HMMWV wheels still 8 hole). So if your trailer has 6 hole wheels somebody has already changed the axle! So what are you...
