    Headlights

There was another member here having the same issue with new after market china bulbs, not sure what brand you are using. Best to try and find USGI bulbs.

I have joined the Goat herd

There is a petcock with a 3/16 line that runs about a foot along the oil pan that is the coolant drain line.

Looks good Tom, you can get the coolant with the "pink" cap at NAPA, I always try it with water first just in case.

Working on the FV1801A or Truck, 1/4 Ton, 4×4, CT, Austin Mk.1 AKA Austin Champ

A standard jeep cylinder mounts in the same place, MB-GPW-cj-2A etc may be able to retro fit one. It's a single circuit cylinder but you can put a Y in there to get by.

My 1942 Willys MB Hanger Queen

My wire replacement was done many years ago, purchased from the original owner of the company who lived only a couple of hours from me, the shop was amazing. Sad to hear the new owners could not keep up the reputation, I think Omix Ada or some other company makes a harness as well. Not sure...

Good progress, carb looks nice as well. I purchased a new wiring harness from Vintage Wiring of Maine, very nice harness. Amazing the pile of parts that were added on, glad to see you are making it right again.

    24v ignition coil

You can retain the 24v system and still use the 12v coil, just run the ignition/coil hot wire to a 24-12 converter. I don't think the coil draws many amps so one could be had pretty cheap. By doing this you won't place an unbalanced load on your batteries.

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

The only modification is to the top bows, the stud is removed on the forward bow where the bow to windshield rod mounts, it's replaced with a 5/16 bolt and a round spacer 3/4 diameter, 5/8 wide. The forward fixed window is slid in the channel on the outer edge of the windshield frame, just...

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

Project of the day was to install a new door kit I purchased a while back. As with any goat project the install was straight forward but a lot of fit trial and error type work, measure twice drill once. The holes to be drilled are for the hinge brackets, attached to the bow uprights, the hinge...
