There was another member here having the same issue with new after market china bulbs, not sure what brand you are using. Best to try and find USGI bulbs.
A standard jeep cylinder mounts in the same place, MB-GPW-cj-2A etc may be able to retro fit one. It's a single circuit cylinder but you can put a Y in there to get by.

Thanks Frenchman, if were not for you the winch would probably still be incomplete, I do have the splash shield just need to install it. The pintle hitch is there.
My wire replacement was done many years ago, purchased from the original owner of the company who lived only a couple of hours from me, the shop was amazing. Sad to hear the new owners could not keep up the reputation, I think Omix Ada or some other company makes a harness as well.

Good progress, carb looks nice as well. I purchased a new wiring harness from Vintage Wiring of Maine, very nice harness. Amazing the pile of parts that were added on, glad to see you are making it right again.
You can retain the 24v system and still use the 12v coil, just run the ignition/coil hot wire to a 24-12 converter. I don't think the coil draws many amps so one could be had pretty cheap. By doing this you won't place an unbalanced load on your batteries.
Thanks Tom, I was torn between re building the hard top or just installing the new door kit. The hard top need several pieces of glass and new glass channels, would have been expensive.
The only modification is to the top bows, the stud is removed on the forward bow where the bow to windshield rod mounts, it's replaced with a 5/16 bolt and a round spacer 3/4 diameter, 5/8 wide.
