I forgot to mention before, my drivers side bolt broke, when I went to extract it there was enough bolt sticking through the bottom of the truck that I was able to get vice grips on it to help it turn.
I do not know how to jump a 24v truck off a 12v car but I can say that the best solution is not having to switch off the service lights every time you park your truck. I leave mine on all the time so I don't forget to turn it on and I've never had an issue. Maybe someone else can chime in.

The wires are identified in the diagrams. There should be small text under the "wire" in the diagram. I posted a page that should help you out and a colored diagram from CUCV Electric. They are a little easier to read. I suggest you print the diagrams out, laminate them and keep them in a binder...
Please correct me if I'm wrong. The sole reason of the red dye in off road diesel is to distinguish it from regular ultra low sulfur diesel? Correct?

What kind of trucks do the DOT guys stop? Only bigger trucks like tractor trailers, deuces and 5 tons?

Can they just stop you for any reason? Wouldn't you have to make a moving violation...
Its not that bad of a job. I've never done it on a CUCV but I did it on my Jeep. Just make sure that if there are shims in the differential, they go back the same way they come out.
